These are so crunchy which is just what I need for good oral hygiene for my pups. They eat raw medallions of various meat and vegetable combinations but none of it is hard food. Honest Kitchen nuzzles are small crunchy heart shaped treats that are low calorie and made without artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives. I find them to be perfect for those times when my dog Gumbo begs for a treat late in the evening even after he has had his normal amount of food for the day. He gets acknowledged and rewarded and I don't feel like I'm just giving him lots of extra or empty calories. It's not his favorite treat (which is Honest Kitchen Beams--icelandic fish skins) but it satisfies his need to be given something by his alpha. A perfect treat for dogs on a diet or just to upgrade your treats to something good for your dog. And they aren't "hard" as one reviewer claimed; they have the average hardness of most biscuit type dog treats.
