OK. I have two labs. Dog 1 preference order: People, Ball, Food. Dog 2 preference order: Food, People, Ball. The bone lasted 1 hour with Dog 1 and 20 minutes with Dog 2. This treat is not going to satiate or occupy most large, hungry dogs for as long as some reviewers suggest. Bottom line: If your dog is a food hound this is an expensive treat that doesn't last long and looks very much like fake food. It also broke into wet, sloppy bits everywhere. P.S. Both dogs are midsize (50-60 lbs).

From the dog's point of view, this is a great product. She is a 75 lb boxer and takes 60 to 90 minutes to finish and keeps her occupied fully the whole time. From the wife's point of view, however, this is a very messy product. It breaks down into sticky, whitish bits. They get in the carpet and are difficult to get out. Since we really wanted to make these bones work for the peace they provide, we have had to train the dog to eat them on a towel. That has solved our problem.

I have two dogs. My big dog (90 lbs.) is the food-oriented, major chewer, always wants attention dog. He loves treats and I buy him a variety, but I can say honestly that the Busy Bone is the only one that he actually hides for later. He loves to move it around the house, burying it in a closet, then behind a chair, then under a pile of junk mail, etc. He sometimes eats half and then hides the rest. He really loves this treat. Does it keep him out of my hair and not moaning for attention all the time? Eh, a little bit. But I can say 100% that he loves it so I continue to buy it from time to time as a special treat.

I have one dog who is a ravenous eater and chewer. This does pose a choking hazard for him and other like minded dogs. He got a chunk stuck at the bottom of his esophagus and had to have surgery to remove it. Also, they leave a white sticky film wherever they eat them!

My Dog loves these and they keep her attention where as some edible bones she'll eat for a bit then leave. And it's great price for a pack of 8. You save a few bucks, which is always nice cause they are expensive bones.
