I have a 3 1/2 year old American Bulldog that has gone through thousands of dollars in vet bills and worthless speculations. She has been on Grandma Lucy's Rabbit Pureformance for several days now and I have noticed improvement in her scratching. My dog used to violently scratch at herself till she made herself bleed. We discovered that she was allergic to beef, lamb, pork, chicken, and duck. Due to the simple ingredients of Grandma Lucy's she is doing good. It's been several days and the scratching has decreased...Anyone with a dog that has bad allergies should really give this food a try. I'd also like to add that the preparation for making her food is very simple. Just add warm water to the freeze dried food until you get the desired consistency that you prefer. Let it stand for a few minutes and then it is ready to serve. The food honestly smells great and at times I have thought about trying it myself. It's made with all human grade ingredients which is good to know. My dog Sadie is 75lbs and a 10 lb bag lasts us approximately 20 days. It's a good deal and easy to prepare...give it a try.
****Update 10/29/2012****
After several months of using this food, we had to discontinue using it. Unfortunately, she was excreting 95% of what she ate and was losing weight pretty quickly. We were feeding her twice the recommended amount and she still was losing weight. We saw our veterinarian and she told us that dogs have a tough time processing vegetable matter and really need a diet of animal protein/fat. I noticed that in the bag of Grandma Lucy's that there was a disproportionate amount of vegetable matter vs. rabbit meat. So, we switched her food to "California Natural-Red Lentil and Kangaroo (kibble)". She put all her weight back on, still is not scratching and looks great! Due to our dog losing weight (no matter how much Grandma Lucy's we gave her) and excreting over 95% of what she ate, I have to decrease the star rating to a 3 out of 5. I still like this food (its human grade, no preservatives, and natural) but many dogs will probably have a similar issue.

My dogs love it. It smells and taste delicious. A bag last me about a month feeding two dogs about a cup every other day.My dog's not a big fan of rehydrated food, but he will usually eat some of it. He acted like this was poison and given how it reeked of garlic, I don't blame him a bit. I also wasn't happy with how little meat was in there. It seemed like it was mostly filler which, honestly, I can get from kibble. I tried to see if there was more meat at the bottom of the bag but couldn't find any (it was kind of messy so I didn't look too hard). The Dog Food Advisor analysis gives them 5/5 stars, mostly because it's comparing it to all dog foods, including kibble. For raw food, protein and fat are way too low (36% and 14% respectively) and high carbs (38%). Also, keep in mind that their second ingredient is chickpeas, which are high in protein and can distort how much meat is actually in the food. While rabbit is the first listed ingredient, rabbit contains about 80% water, so the actually rabbit protein content is probably much less than you think. This, combined with the low fat content (meat is usually associated with fat), makes me think that a lot of the protein is actually plant-based. A common tactic, even in higher-quality kibble. While chickpeas can be good for dogs, but I want most of my dog's protein coming from an animal.
Garlic is also fairly high in their ingredients list, which may cause Heinze body anemia in dogs.
Their 100% product guarantee is also worthless -basically, they just tell you to take it back to the store that sold it and the store will decide how to compensate you (Gulf Coast Pet supplies gave me a refund, minus $30, or 1/3 the purchase price). Basically, they don't really back their product at all, since pretty much all pet stores will take food back if it doesn't work out. I will give them credit for putting that in their FAQ, which I should have read more carefully.
The price is also ridiculous. My dog eats real raw food for $3/day. Grandma Lucy's, if it had worked out, would cost $2.25/day for a 50lb mutt. On the other hand, Acana kibble, which has more real meat and similar protein/fat/carb ratios, costs $1.76/day to feed. And my dog actually likes it, which has made it our go-to travel food. Grandma Lucy's claims that they are better than kibble because their freeze-drying process preserves nutrients, but if you look at the ingredients list they are artificially adding vitamins and minerals back in to meet AAFCO standards. So what, exactly, am I paying extra for?
The summary: you are better off feeding your dog high-quality kibble. Even if your dog likes it, I would be concerned about the amount of garlic and poor protein:carb ratio. Obviously, if the cost of this product was closer to kibble I would have rated it higher, but this company just seems to be trying to cash in on the raw food movement by selling a kibble-quality product at raw-food prices. Worse, it contains a lot of garlic, which can be dangerous for some dogs.
EDIT: After I posted, I realized I was reading the wrong dogfood advisor page (for their artisan food). I've updated my review for the correct food. My bad for not paying attention.

The fact that I got chicken instead gets a big zero. The rabbit is very beneficial for pets with allergies, and I was delighted to find it on Amazon.
The only store here that carries the rabbit is about 20 miles away, and not on a regular route for me.
Getting the wrong product, and paying a much higher price defeats my purpose of ordering it.
