I have extensive avian and veterinary experience. I am both a veterinary technician and a registered laboratory animal technologist (AALAS). I am have several certifications in animal nutrition. I am also a mobile vet tech with many clients with birds. I own a med sulpher crested cockatoo and would feed and recommend no other parrot food. This satisfies the need for color and variety, and does NOT allow for the bird to throw away seeds it needs, in favor of those it wants.(High oil content seeds such as sunflower and safflower taste better but lead to poor plummage amoung other problems if this is all the bird is feeding on). Perfectly formulated and my clients tell me all of the time their birds do so well on it with limited food waste and increased brilliant plumage color.

My macaw loves this food. He likes to be picky with his "colors" though. Sometimes he will refuse to eat a particular color. I've switched him to the zupreem natural to get rid of this problem.

Also, this stuff smells very fruity, kind of like fruit loops. My curiosity got the best of me one day, and i can assure you that it does NOT taste like fruit loops!

I have used this product for about 10 yrs. My Cockatoo has done well with Zupreem. This bag was recalled because of too much calcium.

I've been feeding Zupreem to my four birds for over 10 years. It has kept them in good health with beautiful feathers. I've met several avian vets, and even though most sell Harrison's, they readily admit that you can't go wrong with Zupreem. BTW my birds won't touch Harrison's. As for purchasing it from Amazon, that's a no-brainer. Pound-for-pound I pay twice the price in the pet stores here on Oahu.
