I ordered from Rawhide Direct. Product arrived in a timely manner, in new condition and as described. This is a nice really heavy duty coiled tie out cable. The vinyl cover is thick and the swivel clips appear sturdy. I don't know yet whether they will rust, but I expect to get at least a year or two out of this cable. I purchased this as a replacement for one I bought at Target a few years ago (the vinyl eventually gets worn, cracks and falls off, then the steel will start to rust and eventually break). This one seems much beefier than the one from Target, but for this very reasonable price, it won't bother me to buy replacements.
I use this as the down line for my dog's Cider Mill brand trolley system. Though trolley systems come with a down line, it is just a straight cable, and they are, IMO, not safe, they get wrapped around body parts. This coiled, tangle free, tie out, is the perfect solution. I don't have to worry about my dog breaking a leg, strangling himself or injuring a person.

This is the best design for my dog run. It doesn't get tangled or caught, and I cannot find them in the stores anymore. I usually buy several at a time because if they are left outside on a pulley run, the cable at the end weathers and eventually gets weak and will break, but they are inexpensive and worth replacing. Allows my Westie to roam the yard and has play when she get towards the end of its reach like a bungie cord. Recommended product.Buy Cadet Tangle Free Tie Out for Dogs, 12-Feet Now
We bought two of these tie outs for our two aussies for when we go camping. We try to place them far enough apart that the two dogs won't cross over each other and make a mess of things. These tie outs are long enough to give them room to move about and yet spring back into shape when not being stretched. There has been very little tangling-what we were aiming for.Read Best Reviews of Cadet Tangle Free Tie Out for Dogs, 12-Feet Here
We keep our dogs on runners in the trees. The coiled tie out allows them to stay tangle-free and safe. The cold Alaska winters are pretty hard on the plastic which covers it, so we have to use about 3-4 per year. It is still much better than a straight tie out.Want Cadet Tangle Free Tie Out for Dogs, 12-Feet Discount?
Allow me set the stage: We have a 100' dog run that attaches to our house and a pipe column at the back of our yard. There is a 15' deep x 4' high deck connected to the house with stairs that continue in the direction of the lead, which Baron (80# lab) must use to get to the yard. His old lead kept getting caught on everything, including himself. He would run by chairs on his way off the deck and his old lead would catch them and pull them down the stairs, effectively scaring the dog and damaging my chairs. Booo. This lead completely fixed that issue. Tangle-free is right! This is the second (and third) one for us. We had to replace the lead because Baron chews on the coating, revealing the steel cable beneath, which then rusts and snaps. If my wonder mutt would stop chewing it would last much longer.
I read other reviews that stated these were dangerous and their dogs were injured because of this. I say BS. These are the most wonder thing and I highly recommend this.
