For those of you searching, these products were formerly known as Cheweez before Purina rebranded them under the HeartyHide label.I have had two small dogs that enjoy these treats, the current being a King Charles. These treats keep him busy while at home for the day or when I can't give him my full attention.
My gripe is that the dogs can easily lose interest in these treats because bothe of mine have enjoyed these by licking off the chicken flavoring/coating off first. What's left a day or two later is a flavorless rawhide strip that they decide to finish off based on their mood.
I use these in conjunction with C.E.T. Enzymatic Oral Hygiene Chews for Large Dogs, 30 Chews, as I find those chews do a better job of keeping my dog's breath and mouth cleaner. These treats, however, are less substantial and tend to last less than an hour before they are gone.
As with any rawhide treats, be sure to throw these out before they reach a size that your dog could swallow; there is a potential choke risk with these if this is neglected.
