These beef flavored rawhide dog bones are a big hit with my 11 month old puppy who loves to chew. She weighs about 20 pounds and one of these 3" bones will occupy her for an entire night and at least part of the next day.
Hartz calls these chews "Dentist's Best" because the raw hide has been coated with a chemical called Hexametaphosphate which is supposed to block tartar formation on the dog's teeth and freshen the breath. This ingredient was developed by researchers at Indiana University's School of Dentistry specifically for dogs.
These bones, manufactured in Brazil, contain the following ingredients: Beefhide, Maltodextrin, Gluco-Delta-Lactone, Sodium Hexametaphosphate, and Natural and Artificial Flavors.
A significant benefit of these treats is that they do not stain, splinter or leave a gummy mess. They sort of slowly disolve as they are licked and chewed.
They also come in a smaller, 2" size Hartz Dentist'S Best 10Pk 2In. Bone hich is very good for small dogs or when you only want your dog to have a little treat. My puppy can go through a 2" bone in about an hour.
This 3" size offers a far longer state of puppy bliss. And that is a very good thing.

Our small (15-lb) dog really likes these beef-flavored bones, and we like them too--because they help clean her teeth and they don't leave sticky residue on our carpets and furniture or leave stains on her white whiskers. It's a win all around!Buy Dentist's Best Rawhide Bone Dog Treat Now
My dogs seem to love these bones, but for the price, they are expensive. I thought it would have more in it. I have to see if I can get them somewhere else for a better dealRead Best Reviews of Dentist's Best Rawhide Bone Dog Treat Here
They were good, thought they were a bit on the brittle side, overall the puppy loved them. I would buy them again if they were on sale or special.
