I got a sample from the company and gave them to our cat and she immediately fell in love with them. We give them to her twice a day, usually five or so of them.

She is absolutely addicted to them. She sits where we give them to her and meows every morning (the time that we give them to her).

I love this product because it makes my kitty happy.

Have to give the product 5 stars because I really believe it's worth it.

But a quick warning as of buying this product and as of later writing this review beware that although the picture used to sell them shows multiple flavors, this is not a multi-pack. Both the title and description are correct this is a 6 pack of chicken flavored Greenies cat treats. I was shopping in a hurry and the picture fooled me.

That aside, the product is great! My mother is a veterinarian so I grew up hearing how most cat treats were junk and to be careful feeding very many to the cats. These ones she approves of though...she truely is convinced that the cats she sees that uses them have cleaner teeth!

Plus they're not loaded with crap. Not just corn chicken meal is the first ingredient, high in protein...my mother the vet deems them "healthy" and "beneficial" (though still recommends moderation of only 1-5 a day)

And my cat likes them too! he's a little picky about food and cat treats...some he won't eat at all (anything else crunchy especially) and most of the ones he does like are horribly oily and smelly.

I like these because they don't smell bad and I don't end up with a bunch of gross residue on my hands after touching them. Also they seem to last quite some time...we've had them open for a couple of months and while they lost some of their smell they never appeared to go stale or develop any signs of having gone bad...cat still liked them.

Though we've found the resealable lockstrip on the bag breaks...we started putting them in a glass jar instead to keep them that much fresher.

Even though these are all chicken flavor, my cat has loved every flavor we've given him so I'll doubt he'll mind. (Though I like to rotate him just to keep him from getting even more picky, but whatever).

The fact that I, my vet mom, and my cat all approve of these means I can't give them less than 5 stars.

Our three cats are enthusiastic about Pounce cat treats, so we expected them to be equally enthusiastic about Greenies. They were not.

They each tried three treats and then left. Our long-haired orange male left to throw up his treats, but being a long-hair, he throws up from grooming his fur so much. I do not necessarily attribute the vomiting to Greenies.

I did search for menadione sodium bisulfite (MSB) as another reviewer suggested, but I did not find in my search that menadione sodium bisulfite (MSB) is a poison. Menadione is an irritant in its pure form and irritates skin and mucous membranes, but the study I read indicated no adverse effects from menadione sodium bisulfite (MSB)in animal studies.

We won't be buying Greenies again because of the lukewarm reception it received, but, if your cat likes it, I wouldn't worry about the menadione sodium bisulfite (MSB) it contains. It might be a problem if that was all your cat ate, but treats are treats, not standard diets, and should be given in only small amounts.

I don't know why but my cat is addicted to these treats. I have tried several kinds of treats but she just walks away. When we go up to bed she sits on the night stand and begs for these.
