I couldn't live without this leash. I have a 60-lb dog who is uncontrollable otherwise. It really works, much much better than a gentle leader, etc. My dog is the kind that flops around on the end of her leash like a fish when she wants to get at another animal. This leash stops that behavior in its tracks. Only problem with this thing is the ring that the leash is threaded through tends to slip after a while, so you have to stop periodically and readjust it. I've heard some people complain about the lack of a loop on the end. Nonsense. You should never ever wrap a leash loop around your wrist anyway if you don't want to get dragged and have your wrist dislocated by an out-of-control dog. And it's just not a powerful way to hold a leash. A trainer taught me how to do it right. The leash should be looped around your thumb and the two resulting lengths clenched to your palm by your fingers. No dog can pull the leash out of your hand with this tough grip, but you can let go in a heartbeat if things get way out of control.

I currently have a 100 lb GSD and he goes airborne when I try to walk him. He starts jumping 3 or 4 feet in the air as soon as he leaves the porch. The gentle leader didn't work and none of the harness type restraints worked either. He stopped jumping after two jumps with the EZ trainer and he hasn't tried it since. I am able to keep control of my GSD much easier when he is restrained from the rear rather than at the neck or snout.As far as the handle goes, I just ended up making a loop knot as a handle and it works fine. I do have to readjust the ring pretty often on the EZ trainer but I am having to do it less and less because my GSD has quit pulling near as much. I don't have to adjust it on my smaller GSD at all.
My last GSD lived his whole life going on very few walks. I still feel bad about it. If I would have had the EZ trainer he might have lived a healthier life and maybe lived longer. I have already taken my current "big guy" on more walks in the past two weeks than I have probably taken him since I got him two years ago.
As with any other training tool, this leash takes some practice but the pulling from the rear stops my guys/gals from pulling where as the pulling on the snout (like a gentle leader) does very little.

This leash makes walking my rambunctious dog easier. I had to figure it out, but once I did, it was easy.
