Dog trainer suggested that I use Kongs filled with a mix of frozen dog food & treats for my dogs. The original Kong is perfect for one of my dogs, but my other dog prefers this one because it's easier to get the food out. When it's empty, the dogs use this one when they play tag. Easy to clean and easy to fill. My dogs are gentle with their toys and after 2 weeks, this one still looks brand new. If you have a destructive chewer, this may not be the Kong for you.

When I brought this home, my dogs loved it! The nice rubbery texture was flexible and quite appealing to them. I was able to stick dog biscuits inside and when the treats were eaten, they kept chewing contentedly. It would have been their new favorite toy if not for one thing it was ripped in two spots within 45 minutes. My dogs are moderate chewers and this was NOT what I expected from the Kong brand. To put this in perspective, it took a year and a half for two dogs (through puppyhood too) to finally break a regular, medium-sized red Kong. Unfortunately, this went in to the trash in less than a day. Unless your dog is really a light chewer, I couldn't recommend it. Quite a shame and waste of money.

We bought the Kong quest toys as a way to slow down our Boxer from eating to fast after recommendation from associate at local pet store. Our Boxer gets Blue Buffalo can and dry food mixed and than frozen inside the toys.

The Kong quest circle one is easier for her to get all the food out and she prefers that one over other Kong, takes her about 30-45 to get all the food out . This one is also great at slowing her down but it is a little more difficult for her to get all the food out. Hoping once she gets the hang of it she will be able to get all the food out, right now she leaves about 20-50% in the toy.

If you do freeze the food for your dog I recommended making it the night before so it freezes solid by lunch.

My 45 lb border collie mix doesn't lick but throws the original kong to get food out. This can be noisy and messy. This is shallower and she will lick the food out because it's easier. I use it for bedtime, filling it with some snack mixed with peanut butter or melted cheese and then put it in her crate. However, if you're looking for a product that can keep your dog occupied for a while, e.g. digging for food in a kong, this won't work. It won't keep your dog's attention for more than several minutes.

My dog can chew through anything, except KONG! I rub peanut butter on the inside of the toy and jam some treats in there and then proceed to enjoy a quiet house.
