I have a shepherd mix, @ 40 pounds, and I got this for her for Christmas last year. She figured out how to pull the rope to get the treats, then figured out how to tip the bottle over to pour the treats out, but it was kaput by the first week of January. She basically just chewed the screw-on bottom off, and broke it. The plastic is very thin and brittle. Better suited for a smaller dog whose mouth doesn't fit over the whole bottom portion.

We bought our first Tug-A-jug in 2009, I believe. Although our dog chews through the rope at some point that is fine. If you are looking for an indestructible toy good luck with that, I'm still looking. We put several sizes of treats in the jar. Treats that will only come out when it gets caught between the rope and bottle head and some that will come out when she turns the bottle just right; this part encourages her to keep going. We give it to her at some of our meal times, when we have company to dinner, it keeps her entertained, and when she is a banana head and requires extra excitement. The only draw back I can think of is the rope at some point will get chewed in two and you have to buy another one. But for us this is ok because it keeps her entertained and happy. And like I said before, good luck finding an indestructible toy. We have gone though 3 Tug-a-jugs in the past year and that is fine with us because of the hours it keeps her busy for a few cents per day.Buy PetSafe Busy Buddy Tug-a-jug Dog Treat Dispensing Toy Now
I HAVE A LARGE ONE, WHICH HAS SERVED WELL. THE SMALLER VERSION WAS EASILY DESTROYED BY MY YOUNG DOG AS SHE WAS ABLE TO FIND THE VERY SMALL SEAM WHERE THE BOTTON SCREWS ON, AND GET HER BABY TEETH IN THERE.I DIDN'T SAVE IT TO SEND BACK FOR REFUND AS IT HAD BEEN A GIFT FOR MY "GRANDDOG" AND MY DAUGHTER TOLD ME HOW AND WHAT HAPPENED.
