I never even used this product because it would kill the live plants that I have in my tank. It would be helpful if the description on Amazon would provide that warning on the product description.

I was using this before I changed to Malawi/Victoria Buffer for my African Cichlid's. It kept my tank at a good standing 7.5 pretty much all the time. My girlfriend uses it on her Beta tanks now. I use the other for my cichlid's now.

I bought this to maintain my daughter's goldfish tank at 6.8-7.2. Despite only 2 fish in the tank, it can only keep the pH at about 6.4-6.6. I still need to add pH up everyday. I will try pH 8.2 for hers.

I use it in my tank with 2 tiny goldfish. So far the pH is staying at 7.2. We will see how well it maintains.

This is a must for Fresh Water Fish Tanks! It keep the proper pH to number seven! This is needed so you don't need to change your water so much in your fish tank!
