My Golden Retriever is 13 and suffers from arthritis. WHen I used this product alone it helped somewhat. When I used half the recommended daily dose in combination with half the recommended daily dose of "Pro-Pet Glocosamine Advanced Joint Care" (available at Target and WalMart) it helped him immensely much, much more than either of these products alone.
I do half a dose of each as a full dose of both could be harmful to his stomach. I feed the two half-doses twice a day with his breakfast and his dinner. He likes them both so much, he refuses to eat his dog food unless I have placed the Synovial Flex Chews and the Glucosamine Tablets on top of his food!
Hope this help others with arthritic dogs.
Also, I make sure he takes two brief walks a day.
Before we combined these two products plus the brief exercise, our Golden could barely stand up and sometimes his back legs would give out and he would fall over or he would drag them behind him. He is still stiff but quite able to walk around.
