Let me begin by stating that I do not use any toxic products on my dog and try my best to defeat fleas with weekly bathes and castile soap. I wanted to try something new and came across BarkLogic Shampoo. Unfortunately, I purchased the shampoo before my common sense kicked in.

After researching the ingredients I quickly learned that none of the listed ingredients are capable of killing fleas and repelling them is not likely either.

What does kill fleas without the use of pesticides is drowning them in soapy lather left on a dog for 10 minutes or more and this can be accomplished with any gentle soap.

The ingredients in this shampoo are very high quality, in fact the ingredients and as such the price of this shampoo are similar to that of expensive "salon" quality shampoos like Bumble and Bumble. Coupled with the amount of essential oils I can see why the price tag is so high.

I was disappointed by the consistency of the shampoo, rather watery thus I had to use far more than I anticipated. The smell is nice and his coat is shiny however I found no dead fleas in the bath water.

Learning that the ingredients are safe for people I used it on my own hair with nice results, sharing it with my dog will make up for the ridiculous price I paid for it.

The bottom line is this pesticides kill fleas (and your dog eventually) but lemon grass, essential oils and the other ingredients in this shampoo do not.

I won't purchase the product again I can do better with a bar of soap and a couple of sprinkles of essential oil.

No need for a big review,but this product is awesome and promising especially for the hot season when fleas/ticks are everywhereI saw this brand had 8 five star reviews and with out a doubt, bought it. I promise, it's worth the money and more importantly for your pet/s. I thank everyone who typed those reviews because: little does go a long way, produces a good lather,kills numerous of fleas instantly in the tub and leaves a good shinny,citrusy smelling coat on my miniture dachshund and an 8 week old puppy I found. It didn't make them sick or they didn't seem to have any bad reactions from the lemongrass shampoo, all it did was made me happy seeing them itch less.

Hi! I have 2 mini pins & 1 Irish setter. It is always a difficult question for me how to make sure that ticks infected with pyroplasmosis will not attack my pets (we leave in the Capital of Russia). Historically i used traditional remedies chemical based drops for the protection and it worked more or less fine (depending on the product). My only concern always was that while helping to protect from one enemy these drops (being strong chemicals) may do harm to my dogs health in another way. Small breeds are especially vulnerable creatures. This year we switched to BarkLogic and very happy! I have 2 objectives satisfied great protection and at the same time safe (natural/organic) product . Have to mention as well nice smell. In our assortment we have Shampoo and Spray.

It would be great if Seller could ship these products directly to Russia. I had to use my friends' help to get these 2 bottles :) Traditional tick & flee protection drops are not allowed to be shipped by post, while this product went easily through customs of both countries.

I live in California in an area with ticks. Even with tick meds my 3 papillons still get ticks during high season. They need extra protection. I researched tick shampoos and your shampoo, Barklogic, came up with the best reviews. Despite the higher price, I decided to try your product and it lived up to the hype. It smells good and gets rid of ticks! I will buy it again and will recommend it to others.

We have two long haired dogs who love to swim, but hate baths. Frontline Plus didn't prevent the fleas this year so we had them in the house as well as on the dogs.

Long story short, we used Siphotrol (Amazon) on the furniture and carpet and BarkLogic Tick & Flea Pet Wash on the dogs. One application each. Fleas on the dogs were dead immediately, you could see them going down the drain; they haven't come back. The dogs inexplicably liked a bath with the BarkLogic Lemongrass.

The only con, not enough to take a star off, was that the BarkLogic container is sealed for shipment and the pump "tube" that goes down in the product was about a half inch too long and kinked so it wouldn't pump. Had to stop what I was doing, keep one dog in the tub, and shorten the tube with a pocket knife.
