I bought these for my cat who had fractured her pelvis. She would not eat them, so I offered them to my kitten. She tried and tried but could not chew them. At this point I decided to cut them up. They are so hard I had to put them on a cutting board and put all my weight on the knife. I did not get these from Amazon but from a reputable supplier, and I noticed they are not carrying them anymore.

The "soft" chews are like rocks. No cat would be able to chew them. I could not even break them up by hand. Chopping with a knife was useless, too. I ended up grinding them in a coffee grinder. What a waste. Terrible product for the money. Actually, a terrible product, period.

I've been giving my 20-year-old cat these chews for about 30 days now, and he does seem to be a bit more mobile. Additionally, he LOVES them! Every morning, he stares at the bag and meows until I give him his "medicine". I'll definitely continue buying them for him.
