I own four German Shepherd dogs. These are serious dogs with serious drives. The Nylabone Cones are the ONLY toys I have found that they love to play with, and I love because they actually last a long time. It takes months before one of these gets ragged enough that it gets tossed.

Our shepherd/retriever mix usually is able to take apart most dog toys in a matter of minutes, but this particular toy has managed to stay in one piece for about 3 months. Even without putting food inside, he seems to like to munch on this thing, and besides some tooth marks, he hasn't managed to take any chunks off of this thing.

If you want to give your dog a challenge, this is the toy for you. Put a small treat in the hole, and watch the fun.

We started using this when our Husky was just a pup to slow his eating down, and give him something to do. Now we put treats in it to keep him thinking and so he has to work a little for a treat.

He loves it. He bounces it on the ground, and after a while a little piece of treat will come out of the hole. He's worn out two of these, but seriously it took him a while to do it.
