I bought this to use for my two shetland sheepdogs. I bought it more to use for treats than for dog food as kind of a toy. One of my shetland sheepdogs used it with no problem at all (the one with the more slender, longer snout). The other sheltie, the one with the snout that wasn't quite as slender and quite as long was actually able to eat straight from the dish without using it like the maze it was intended to be. So depending on your dog's snout size and length it may or may not work quite so well. Over all a good product that I am happy with.

My Whippet/Boxer girl doesn't get the concept of this really, but it still slows her down and is strong. She can slide it around the vinyl floor a bit, but cannot tip it. Overall, I quite like it and rotate between it and the Wobbler for feeding time.

I purchased several "puzzle" type feeders to keep my puppy (now 8 months) occupied. She never gobbles her food; she eats more like a catsniffing thoroughly before deciding if she wants even treats. She is not highly motivated by food, but she is very active and loves playing.

This maze is her favorite feeding dish. It entices her into eating when I want her to, not at her convenience, which of course makes her potty schedule more predictable. I rotate between puzzles and Kongs to help keep her interested and occupied.

It washes easily in the dishwasher (tho it does fill most of the top rack!), and I just turn it over to let the bottom drain and dry out.

(BTW she is a high energy standard poodle puppy)

The dog maze works very well to slow down my dog's eating speed. The only drawback is the size of the dish. However, I don't see any way around this.
