I have an adult dog who is an expert at emptying frozen food from her large extreme kong. It's a great product for keeping her busy. So after bringing home a 6 mo old large breed puppy, I naturally introduced him to his meal in a large kong. He has difficulty emptying the extreme kong (he doesn't know to bite it to loosen up food, and by simply licking it he cannot get down into the cavity). So I figured I would buy for him a puppy kong "designed for puppy mouths", to make it easier. Right! In the store I compared the products and discovered the large puppy kong to be the exact same size as the large kong extreme. No bigger entry hole and even the rubber did not seem much softer. Thus my poor rating for this pointless product (the only gimmick seems to be the color).I solved the problem for my puppy by cutting up the end from one of the extreme kongs to allow him easier access to his meal.
