I bought this and a case of the canned to try out on my aged Border collie and young Toller-because my sister in law uses it for her Lab pup and the dog looks great-the best coat I've ever seen. Unfortunately, it was a bust for us, because neither of the dogs will eat it. The canned is pasty-texture a lot lot mashed sweet potatoes-not meaty at all. Won't buy again, but if your dog likes the taste of it, it seems to do a great job on healthy, shiny coats.

I have a Border Collie and Sheltie. My collie is allergic to almost everything and my sheltie is just plain picky. They both love this food and no more itching and losing clumps of hair. I alternate between the venison, buffalo and duck. This is the best dog food I have found.

I have 2 Shih Tzus They are full sisters out of same litter and are as different as day and night. Tinkerbelle is "very lady-like" and can eat anything. Zoeie is my little"tuffie" and is allergic to grains and beef. I try to always get venison for her and wanted some variety so tried the New Balace Sweet Potato and Venison formula. Zoeie loved it right from the start and Tinker loves it too. I recomend it to evryone.

Amazon order fufillment is the worst. I received a huge box on my front porch today. I knew it was too light to be the order I placed 9 days ago for hypoallergenic dog food and a few other items. What was in this huge box? Another box containing the paper towels and a six pack of sugar free brownie mix with a long strip of brown wrapping paper thrown in.

Seriously, I placed an order for the dog food 9 days ago and haven't gotten it yet. I had to place an order with another website a day ago, and it's already enroute by Fed Ex. I'll get it before I get the Amazon order.

Moral of the story is that Amazon has gotten too big for its britches. I am cancelling (already cancelled all future) Subscribe and Save items because fufillment is a joke. Poorly packaged, damaged, smashed, later than late, and I've had it. And try to figure out what the charges to my credit card are? Nothing matches the pricing in the Subscribe and Save program. No charges are tagged with the item name, they all say Amazon Books. Ridiculous.

My dogs love this food and for years it was the best on the market. I was very disheartened to learn Dick Van Patton sold it to Del Monte foods in May of 2013. I purchased a few more bags while it was still being made by Natural Balance.
