About 4-5 months ago we adopted 2 big and big jawed rescue dogs. They each came with a little bag of stuff that included a really nice rawhide bone that they really loved. When it was time for new bones I checked with the people at HALO Animal Rescue [Maricopa County, AZ] where the dogs [abby and peyton] came from. The staff had the name of the original bones and it is sold on amazon for a little less than these but without free shipping. [Unfortunately I don't remember its name.]
The staff had emphasized that we needed to look for "compressed" rawhide bones. So I spent over an hour reading up on compressed bones and headed to amazon. I'm a lawyer and I can get obsessive with sorting out what's the best item.
I found the bones the dogs had originally had but I believe it did not have the shipping available. Besides after checking every compressed bone sold by amazon the reviews about the Ranch Rewards bones impressed me. I was a little taken aback my the reddish color, which was new to me. But I went ahead and ordered anyway
WELL, IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR RAWHIND BONES BUY THESE! Our dogs love them and it takes them time to work through one, which is saying something given the dogs ability to chew, shred, and demolish all other toys or chewy things.
Whatever you do, get only COMPRESSED bones and I say the ranch rewards are the best. The dogs carry them around like prized possessions and can get absolutely captivated while working on one, but it still takes 2-3 days to polish one off.
I did a lot of reseach and the bulk price is so good in comparison to nonbulk and if you factor in the free super shipping they are an unbelievable bargain. They also don't splinter like some raw hide products can do.
So go for it and get ranch reward pressed bones, 13 pack and no I don't work for them and they have never sent me any free bones. [hint, hint.] kathy

My dog goes through a normal rawhide bone in just a couple of hours usually, which is surprising since he's just a 30-pound border collie mix. He has fairly sharp teeth and tons of energy to spend on rawhide destruction. These bones lasted significantly longer. The 13-pack lasted us over a month, which is pretty incredible! My only complaint would be that his front legs and some sheets and carpeted areas would get stained red from the coloring in the bone.
