I have two Norwegian Elkhound puppies, one of them who chews pretty much everything except those white marrow bones, and both of them LOVE these treat toys! I have 3 of them in the house and none of them have been destroyed and they're at least a year old! As for the reviewers who suggest that "the treats just fall right out" . . . how about buying a treat that matches the size of the hole??? Obviously you can't put really small treats in these or they will just "fall right out"!!! In the 3-inch balls I find the Mother Hubbard mini-size treats work just about right . . . some of the treats you have to turn slightly to fit into the hole which means they don't just fall right out, giving the pup a nice challenge!!! If you can just "drop" the treat right in, then it's going to just as easily drop right out for the puppy, and they'll be done with the ball and all its contents in about 60 seconds!!! Obviously the 5-inch toy needs larger treats . . . this shouldn't be that difficult to figure out! These toys occupy my dogs sometimes for an hour and on many occasions they'll leave the toy with treats still in it . . . great, great investment!!!

I own 3 Atomic Treat Balls. I love them and I cannot live without them. My first dog (Maltese) did chew the opening one time, but more chew toys distracted him from chewing on the treat ball. My second dog (Poodle mix) loves playing with this toy. Also, my relative's Yorkshire Terrier enjoys tipping over the treat ball to get food out. The yorkie enjoyed it so much that he dumped out all the food from the treat ball even though he wasn't hungry!

With both dogs, I use the 3 treat balls to feed dog food. I use the 3 balls every single day to feed the dogs their meals. They enjoy using their nose and paws to tip over the ball to get food out.

Other treat dispensing toys have a tendency of rolling continuously all over the place, where the treats/dog food would spill everywhere. But, not this product! The treat ball is designed to be tipped over, spit out some food, and then remain stationary until the dog tips it over again. This keeps the floor clean and tidy when the dog is full and does not need to dispense extra food from the treat ball anymore.

We use this toy to mentally stimulate one of our dogs. It isn't a chew toy so once he has all the food out we take it away. We got the largest one since he is a bigger dog (60 pounds). He chases it around the house until all the dog food is out it only takes a few minutes but for those few minutes he sure is fun to watch. Our other dog isn't interested in it at all, but food doesn't motivate her. We have used it alot and have had no problems with durability but like I said we take it away once all the food is out.

My 3 month old great dane puppy loves his atomic treat toy. He kiks it around and he gets a work out trying to get all the treats out of the toy. I enjoy looking at him kiking this thing around.

Angus loves this toy. He received it when we first brought him home as a pup, and it was a great way to try and get him to eat his food. It still provides him with endless fun and challenge. He pushes it around with his nose and picks it up with his mouth when it gets stuck against the wall or under a table. It gets him to use his paws, too. We think it's great. We just put his kibbles inside, and are careful not to overfeed. If we put 1/2 a cup of food in, then we subtract it from what his total amount would be for that feeding. Sometimes he will bring it over and drop it at our feet--hint, hint, time to fill it up!! This toy wasn't ever too heavy or too hard for him, so it captured his interest, and it's very durable.
