Our dog had very bad breath until we tried these chews. She goes crazy over them; more than any other treat we've offered her. And her bad breath is completely gone. Bought them at Costco for a lot less, but they are out now.

For some reason the formulation of the regular dental chews seemed to have changed. I'm not sure if the "Plus" version is different than the regular.

I've been using the regular version for 2 years w/o problems until most recently I got this one and then noticed what looked like worm segments in my dogs' poo.

It drove me nuts, and they looked exactly like a segment! even the vet said it looked like segments. I treated my dog's with anti-parasite medication at least 3x (total cost of visits/meds several $100's of dollars). The reason for so many treatments was b/c the "segments" wouldn't go away with the best anti-parasite meds.

Then one day, one of the segments appeared very hard. And I thought, no way this could be a segment. I then went back and took a close look at these dental chews and found that they were coated with the same hard material I found in the poo.

Once I stopped feeding them the chews BINGO, no more segments.

Hope this serves as a warning for anyone else!

This is one product that works just as advertised. My 3 year-old Cocker spaniel had terrible breath issues and trying to brush her teeth is just a horrible experience and leaves her traumatized. This product has been a godsend. She absolutely loves these things and will chose them over her regular dog treats every time if given a choice. Her breath now is fine and her plaque appears to be reduced as well. It is much cheaper at Costco, a little over $12, so if you have a membership I strongly advise getting them at your local store.

This item in small print advised not to give to dogs that may "gobble" or something to that effect. The item is made out of a very hard rubbery substance that does not break down in the intestine. My beagle was rushed to the vet after eating 1 per day for about a week and a half, her bowels were impacted and she was in severe pain. Cost me about $ 500.00 and I thought I would loose my dog. I contacted the manufacturer and pleaded with them to take off the market. Googled and found several other pet owners had had same problem, one person's dog went thru the suffering and did not make it.

Do not take the chance with this product!!!

I originally bought these for our large dogs that stay outside. However, we also use them for our small inside dog by snapping them in half. They are great to help keep teeth shiny & breath less offensive! With Prime shipping, I get them faster than I could if I had to go to the store.
