4 stars instead of 5 because a little pricey, and when first applied to cake, it was too runny and kept dripping off, so I kept scooping back onto cake and it finally set up. I liked it enough that I ordered a 2nd pouch so I can make homemade dog biscuits as Christmas gifts. I think I'll just add a little less water next time so it won't be quite as runny/drippy. Once it did set up and dry, it was hard/dry to touch ... this will make packaging homemade dog biscuts easy.I provide childcare for a 6 year old girl. She enjoys creating dog parties. So, for my dog's 6th birthday, I ordered this frosting mix along with a peanut butter cake mix and a bone shaped cake pan. The 6 yr old enjoyed making/decorating the cake and creating the party. Her 2 dogs and my 3 dogs attended the bday party and all enjoyed the cake ... the little girl even cut a piece for herself and said it was pretty good!
It was very easy to prepare and was very cute with bone shape and frosting, and we sprinkled with Wilton (human brand) Rainbow-colored sprinkles for color (I'd ordered bone shaped, rainbow colored bone shaped sprinkles but they didn't arrive in time).

Not only do I own a business that makes animal accessories/treats, but I also volunteer and donate things to a local non profit no kill animal shelter. Overall, I love this product as you can make dog treats and not worry about them melting or getting messed up before selling them or before the customer gets them home. Yes, the dogs don't care what the treats look like, they only care about taste, and most things are tasty to them. However, for someone who loves to make donated treats, this is a little expensive. Not that I can find it anywhere cheaper than here, but just overall, a little more. Just makes for having to charge a little bit more for the product you sell.Read Best Reviews of K9Cakery Yogurt Frosting Here
The ingredients are the same, just in a different order. Not sure what exactly the difference is but I did not like this product at all. I have been using the Royal Icing for a year with no problems and decided to try this because it says its good for frosting cakes... the icing starts to crack and flake off of cakes after a few days. And, when used on cookies, it cracks and makes the cookies look very old and not fresh. Royal Icing is amazing!I own and operate a small pet bakery. I bake tasty, healthy treats for pets. A lot of my clients want their treats decorated and I've tried many different types of frosting. This frosting is by far the best and easiest to use! I can frost bones, biscuits and cakes with no problems at all. I love that it dries hard and will not melt. Makes shipping and transporting treats a breeze! This is my go to frosting. I've yet to have a dog not like it either!
