My cat's day revolves around getting outside to eat grass. He would bust through the screen on my lanai just to get out and eat the nasty St. Augustine grass, so I tried growing this instead. I have it in small planters on the patio and my cat runs out every day and goes straight for them. It is very fast growing and I will start some seeds in one pot while the other is full grown. Alternating this way ensures that there are always fresh sprouts for him to munch on and now he doesn't feel the need to escape.

I planted the grass in an old wash tub to keep it contained. The cats won't touch a small pot of it, but they'll climb into the tub to roll around and nosh on it. I wish it lasted longer.

I have one cat that goes out on a leash and he gets his

grass that way. I also have another cat that refuses to

use the leash. So I grow the grass for her, and the

other gets his bites in when I am not able to take

him out due to my body not being up to it.

We have an indoor cat and like to grow "grass" for her. We have purchased Cosmic Kitty Herbs for years, but have not been able to find it recently in the Seattle area. After weeks of unsuccessfully trying to get it at our regular source here, I was delighted to be able to order it at Amazon.com.

With this product, we can grow small amounts at a time. This is very important because none of the grown grass we have tried has a long life span. Our cat likes to munch on the fresh product; we are not wasting a bunch of grown grass/herbs since we can make small batches available to her at a time.
