My Golden Retriever has very bad allergies, not only is she allergic to pollen and human dander but we have figured out over the years that she reacts mostly to anything that is bird based and that has gluten in it, after trying numerous gluten free/bird free kibble, this food has worked the best, we can't get over how much better she is, no more sores on her stomach, fur issues or infections, she still scratches from time to time because of allergy season, but otherwise she's like a new dog. We are very happy we tried this food.

I'm completely puzzled they've had strong responses to the 3 different flavors. None of the three would eat the Lamb & Chickpea recipe. They loved the Chicken & Chickpea for quite a while then the youngest started getting fussy. So I bought the Salmon flavor. The 15 yo wouldn't touch it going so far as to eat the Chicken ones I'd mixed in (to transition) & spit the Salmon ones out. The youngest 5 yo seemed to relish the Salmon ones then refused them too spitting out the Salmon ones, leaving them in her bowl or walking away if there was too high a mix of Salmon to Chicken kibbles.

I can't say enough good things about this dog food. In fact, I have reviewed the Nutrisca Chicken and Chick Pea in the past and can now say, both my dogs a German Shepherd Dog and Welsh Corgi love the Salmon variety as well. Both the Chicken and Salmon are very high quality dog foods that my dogs thrive on. Before Nutrisca, I tried many high quality, limited ingredient brands but with all the others, one or both of my dogs did not tolerate them and suffered from allergic reactions, yeast issues, skin rashes, loose stools, etc. Within a few weeks of feeding this dog food, both of my dogs developed clear skin, good stools and shiny coats and I know they are getting proper nutrition. I highly recommend this grain free and potato free product for anyone struggling with a dog allergy. Give it try, like I did. It is expensive, but in the end, with all the ailments gone, it pays for itself and my dogs are healthy and happy. It is definitely worth the price and I have found I can feed a little less because of the nutrition value and quality.

My 2 year old corgi has been eating this salmon/chickpea formula for about a year now and done excellently on it. We love this kibble and the fact that we are feeding a safe, healthy protein source (wild caught salmon) rather than factory-farmed garbage found in most dog food. Couldn't be happier with this quality kibble BUT I am planning to switch him over to Orijen 6 Fish. Why? Because the company who makes Nutrisca, Dogswell, uses Chinese ingredients & manufacturing for their jerky treats and this is utterly inexcusable (to me). Why risk the health & lives of customers' pets for a slightly larger profit having your treats made in China--NOT what I expect from a premium brand that charges $$$$ for their products. Though my puppy & I love the kibble I feel let down by the company. Sorry Dogswell but you should listen to your customers, do the right thing, make the stupid jerky treats in America instead of China--why is that so hard, or do you prefer losing loyal long-time customers instead?
