Well contstructed. Screw on top. Got this one to replace a ceramic one we had. The lid on our last one had a smooth handle, which made it easy to drop (which we did and the lid shattered). This lid is shatter proof, so meets our needs. Would recommend for purchase.

I have searched for a canister for the pup's biscuits so they could easily be on hand but without the eye sore of a box. I hate clutter & it would be one of the only things on my counter. Compared to other products I found (online and in stores), this one ended up being reasonably priced and well made. One reason I chose this canister was because the lid is NOT ceramic... like other people have commented, it's a great feature (b/c a ceramic lid would be easily broken, especially when dealing with puppy). I get the fact that color in images varies from individual computers to real life; however, the red appeared to me more "fire engine" online but seems a little more burnt red in person (but I love the color). Also, I didn't really pay attention to the fact that the center of the lid is transparent... not a bad thing, just an FYI.

Many canisters out there were available for personalization, but I don't want to change out my canister every time I get another dog.

This treat jar is better than I expected, easy to open and close, attractive, and most importantly keeps treats fresher than the suction seal ones that don't always suction properly. Another bonus: it's just big enough to fit dog jerky strips in it (other jars I had were too short so I couldn't put the lid on right or had to break up the jerky).

I bought this treat jar as a gift for my two dogs, and we've been very pleased with its quality. The item arrived quickly and looked exactly like the photo online. I especially like the fact that the lid is a nearly-unbreakable metal design, since I chipped the ceramic lid from our last treat jar by setting it too hard on granite counter tops. My only wish is that the jar would be made in a larger size. With two large dogs, I go through a large volume of treats and have to refill it every 3-4 days. But overall, this treat jar is exactly what I wanted.

I originally ordered this treat jar as a gift for my mom; however, when I received it, I fell in love with it and had to have one for myself! My mom and I are both very impressed with the color, design and quality of this jar. I love the little dog bone in the middle, but if you ever decide you don't want it to show, you can just turn the jar and flip it to the back, and it looks like a regular jar on your counter. I would absolutely recommend this product to anyone!!
