Cats really love this food and I recommend it to anyone I know with a cat who throws up a lot. Many times they will stop throwing up altogether after being put on this food. It is great for sensitive tummies. I like the fact that this comes in multiple smaller pouches so that it stays extra fresh and is easier to handle. I have back and joint problems and I just can't handle large bags of food so I am willing to pay extra for the convenience. Plus, I like knowing my kitties have fresh food. My cat is allergic to many of the ingredients in the "super premium" and holistic food brands and none of my cats will eat any of the dark colored cat foods like those anyway. I knew from the color of this food that it would be a hit with them. I realize this has corn in it but I do not see any difference in that and the more expensive brands that use potatoes, blueberries, tomatoes, cranberries, etc. Cats aren't meant to eat that either. Anyway, I have been very happy with this food and so have my cats. And my vet says it is perfectly fine to feed to them so we are all happy!

How do you feed your pride?I have started out with one stray about two decades ago. Now even with adjustment surgery strays and a few visitors form down the street greet me twice a day. You would think I was loved but all I see is a lot of tails and hear crunching little choppers. Oh occasionally I get a thank you rub. Usually I get a "where have you been?" look.
Back to the point this Purina Cat Chow Dry Cat Food (Complete formula) has kept many generations of cats alive and well. More than they, I have tried substitutions and got a lot of dirty looks.
This Cat Chow stores well in bins and holds up well outside. Occasionally I water some for kittens.I've tried changing my cat's dry food before and it was usually a losing battle. I had gotten a sample of Purina Healthy Weight and put it in her dish -turned my back for a second and when I looked back there she was, just quietly eating it up. She really does like it, I think better than the Meow Mix she'd been eating (I know, shame on me) and so far seems less obsessed with her dry food and doesn't seem hungry all the time (or making a mad dash to her bowl anytime I walked near it, like she did with Meow Mix)
It's been about five weeks now and I think she looks thinner -it's hard to weigh her, she squirms so much when I hold her and try and read the scale and then do the math. She definitely seems calmer, which I wasn't expecting.
Best thing so far, besides the weight thing, is she doesn't have the dandruff she always gets when the heat is turned on and it gets dry in the apartment.

I've been feeding my cats Purina Cat Chow for over 30 years. IT has extended their lives, as well as being indoor cats, from 17 to 25 years. My current cat Fred is nine and he recently got a 10 mo. old Jack Russell/Chihuahua mix and you'd never guess he was 7 years old. He plays like a 2 year old and runs circles around sassy. I highly recommend Purina Cat Chow.
