My dog eats too fast so I split his dinner. I break small sized dried meat patties and put in this lock. It really takes him some time to dig it out with his teeth. Sometimes I put frozen pumpkin in too!

These are perfect for my chihuahuas. I put a sweet potato stick inside and it keeps them busy for a while. It makes the sweet potato treats last a lot longer and gives them more chew time for their teeth. My first lock lasted several years. My newest ones are already cracking a bit after a few months but still work well. Overall I recommend these and will continue to keep them around for my dogs.

I ordered the Small Lock n' Play for my parents' dogs after they showed some interest in my dog's Large version. We stuff the large one with peanut butter and leave it for the dogs when we leave to go to work in the morning. It probably keeps them occupied for about twenty minutes. My parents do the same thing with the small version. The dogs (both large and small) are able to pick up the lock, carry it to where they want it (which is usually the sofa), and lick the peanut butter out while holding it down with their paws. The only issue we've had so far is that it's difficult to clean the lock out, after putting peanut butter in. I know these locks are designed for crunchy treats, so that's why I'm leaving my review at 5 stars. HOWEVER, the inside of the lock is ridged, so it's difficult to reach inside and clean every crevasse. My mom cleans hers in the dishwasher frequently, so she's had no trouble. But the way we realized that we weren't getting the lock clean enough before we started cleaning it in the dishwasher was that we noticed mold growing in the back of the lock. So, just a warning that it's a little difficult to clean. It's a good toy otherwise, even for vigorous chewers.
