Just picked up this brush last night for my labrador. We've tried everything on him from the metal deshedding tools and slicker brushes to the petmitt and traditional brushes. Nothing has even come close to pulling out the amount of fur that this brush can get. We tested it first on the cat who loved it. Cat was about half the size after losing his winter coat! This morning I tried it out on my lab and was stunned by the handfulls of fur I was getting off of him... Well, not stunned about the amount since I see it all over my hardwood floors every day, but amazed that it was the brush that actually got it all to come out. I highly recommend this brush to anyone who has a dog (or cat for that matter) with straight hair that traditional brushes just can't seem to grab onto. My labrador was enjoying it so much that my pit bull and hovawart were trying to push their way in between us so they could get a turn too. My pit bull's coat is very very short so the fur didn't stick inside the bristles of the brush but it accumulated nicely at the base of her tail so I could just grab a handful and throw it away when her turn was finished. The dogs and cat loved this brush as well so its an all around thumbs up for me. I'm not sure about how it will work on long or wavy coats since my Hovawart just had his summer cut but he usually does fine with a traditional wire brush when his coat gets long. This brush is an absolute must for anyone who has a dog with shorter fur though. I wish I had discovered it years earlier instead of spending money on much more expensive fur removing tools. I picked up mine at kmart for about the same price as advertised here.

I own a lab/german shorthair mix, and he recently began his shedding cycle. Simply put, this brush fully cleaned him up after two uses (in the same day). I found that tapping the top of the brush against my palm while holding it over the trash can was the quickest way to clean it out. And I had to clean it out often, as it grabbed hair on every stroke. Another tip: for my dog, I found that long, head-to-tail strokes worked the best. If you are on the fence about buying a rubber brush, just know that I was too, but I won't own anything else after this one. Also works great for food stuck in your mustache, but keep it away from balding men...it'll finish the job that nature started.Buy Hartz Groomer's Best Rubber Dog Brush Now
I have a Rat Terrier and they are notorious for constant shedding. I have tried every way I could think of to remove the loose hair ... different brushes, brushing while blow drying, etc ... but nothing worked and my sofa got all the hair. This works. This seriously brushes out the loose hair.Read Best Reviews of Hartz Groomer's Best Rubber Dog Brush Here
This is my second purchase. My dogs have short straight fur.
They lose so~~ much fur.
I was lost first one I'v looking for this one.
Cause my dogs don't like furminater or other brushes but not this.
I think it's smooth n doesn't hurt them.
Also It works really well!!My dog is a shepherd/boxer mix and a beautiful, fast, personality filled member of my family, but boy, does he lose hair! He's a year old so it took one or two times for him to appreciate what appears to be a soothing scratch/rub. This brush really does the job my hard working hands couldn't.
