Two stars is generous for this item's DESCRIPTION. I (and apparently MANY others) cannot find the details of what exactly one is purchasing here. The title is pretty clear "1 piece" which obviously is a misrepresentation, since no one in his right mind would want a 4 lb single cow ear (imagine what the size of the manure pie from THAT cow would look like!!!). I know Merrick is a reputable company, so I don't understand why Amazon has not demanded a detailed description of what is being purchased from them. According to some of the reviewers, they really did get just a single ear in a big box, and that's just ludicrous. Can we get this straightened out once and for all?

I bought this item because it was in with all the other 100 piece cow ears, and for $41.40, I thought it was for 100 cow ears. When I received the package, it was 1, and only 1, cow ear. That's ridiculous. This is the last time I order from this company. If I could have given 0 stars I would have.

The pictures for this item shows a box of cow ears, & the shipping weight is 4.3 lbs. The title of the item is "Merrick Beef Chews Natural"--that is not CHEW but CHEWS--plural. I paid $8.64 for each item & order 2. The website said the list price is $39.95. And today, the day they arrived, the Amazon price has nearly doubled to $16.29 each. But all I got was TWO COW EARS--not 2 boxes. One was about 7" long, the other was 3.5". They came packed in a box that was 16"x21"x26" full of Kraft paper. And on the bottom--2 cow ears!!

Another Amazon listing for Merrick cow ears offers 12 cow ears for $18.99 and gives the list price for the 12 as $199.50--is some one delusional? I am returning the 2 cow ears in the box they came in at Amazon expense--and would tell every one not to buy this product--and I would question buying the 12 ears for $18.99--even though they are apparently worth $16.67 each ($199.99 divided by 12) or about today's price for each cow ear listed here ($16.29 each).

Are they kidding???? $33 for ONE, yes ONE, chew!!!! One of the pictures for the product shows a box of chews. You do not receive a box of chews; you receive ONE chew. Unbelieveable! This ONE chew gets returned tomorrow. I will go to Petco and pay $1 per chew. Honestly, when I opened the box, I thought I was being punked. The other reviewers who mentioned this problem were correct. Do not believe the pictures.

We ordered the "Merrick Beef Chews Natural, 1-Piece" and that is exactly what we received. 1 chew for $33.00. So I called Amazon and they quickly sent a replacment. They sent 1 chew again. Now we have ordered these before and have not had a problem. I thought it funny when they wanted me to send the 1 chew back!
