The rope is frayed, destroyed, sitting on the floor, no where near the blue part. My small 8 month old dog pulled the rope out pretty easily. With a chopstick and luck I was able to get the rope back in but it never stayed. I gave up. The holes on the side aren't big enough for treats or to easily clean. The dog doesn't like chewing on the blue piece by itself. She does like dragging the dirty, frayed rope around and tossing it into the air. Prior to pulling the rope out, she liked to fling the toy around by the rope; be careful, the blue part hurts when it hits you in the head or shin. I wouldn't buy this again. A rope toy is 2 bucks, and if your dog doesn't like chewing on plastic parts, the blue part will be ignored as soon as it is separted from the rope.

I still haven't found the right treat to use with this product, but I adapted. My dog seems to like it. It keeps her busy for a while. Seems resistant.

I have one for my adult dog (the larger version) and my dog loves it. We fill it up for him every night and it keeps him busy for hours. My puppy destroyed this toy(small version)in less than a day with those sharp puppy teeth so beware.

Usage notes: Our dog is a leggy 19-pound Jack Russell mix, and a fairly strong chewer. We use this as a throw toy, but he also flings it around for himself if no one is willing to throw it for him.

Important note: We have the small size, which is appropriate for small to mid-sized dogs, and also OK to toss around in the house. Once I accidentally ordered the medium size, and the thing was gigantic. Like, industrial-size huge. I gave it to a neighbor who has a large lab, and it was a bit big even for him (the lab, not the neighbor).

Our local stores carry this item, but without the rope. We find the rope essential because our mutt likes the tug-of-war bit too. He chases down and grabs the toy and we grab the rope. The toy gets slippery once it's coated in slobber, so you really need the rope to hang on to.

The bounce is the best part the Orka Jack bounds and leaps in all directions, making it fun to chase down and grab. Actually, I can't vouch for that personally, but the dog sure looks like he's having fun careering all over the place on the hardwood floors in hot pursuit of this thing. Of course, dogs + hardwood floors + throw toy = fun for all concerned.

This is our dog's favorite toy (and it's funny how dogs *do* express preferences). He's been through three of them so no, they're not indestructible. But I'd estimate each one has lasted a couple years, which is a long time for a chew toy. Heck, my kids go through toys faster than that, and more-expensive ones to boot, so I figure I'm getting off easy on the dog.
