I have two huge dogs who freak out in thunder storms and I live in Florida (help!) In extreme situations, such as tropical storms, I am forced to use prescription medications, but for day to day afternoon thunderstorms, I find these little tabs help take the edge off. It won't knock your dog out, but they will definitely be more zen about scary noises. One thing to keep in mind....if you have smaller breed dogs, this packet is the one to buy. For my larger dogs, the bottle with 30 chewables is more desirable, as you don't have to give so many of the tabs to meet recommended dosage.

I have a very highly reactive rescue dog. I use this on him daily and it really does seem to help take the edge off. I have not tried in in thunderstorms, but he doesn't really have a problem there.

These soft chews are the best thing that I have come across for my hyper dog who doesn't like to settle down and rest at night. I give him a two of these and he begins to calm down and relax within 5 minutes. When it's time to go to bed, he lays in the bed and falls asleep without any of the twirling in a circle or digging at the mattress. He will sleep soundly until the morning and he is rested and refreshed to start another day.
