This is a quality dog chew toy, but I was a little disappointed as it isn't what I thought. Yes, it's 8.5" before being tied, but a little less than 8" knotted. And it's only about 3/4" thick. It's a great toy for smaller dogs, but won't last long if you have a large dog that likes to really chew.

I have two criteria for a dog toy: 1) does my dog enjoy it and 2) does it last. This toy satisfied the first criteria, but was in pieces within 36 hours. Is it too much to ask that a dog toy last at least 2 days? Needs to be tied more tightly and/or made of stronger stuff.

We bought this rope about a month ago. It's a little stronger than others we've had. I would probably buy it again. Size seemed a little smaller than advertised. Order up.

Our dog loved this but the quality isn't that great. It didn't last very long, maybe a few weeks to a month?

This is a pretty small rope toy not the smallest (I've seen one smaller size), but I'd say only appropriate for small dogs and puppies. Not much else to say it's a standard rope toy.
