After all the scare over treats from China causing serious illness I wanted a safer product. My dogs love these. They last quite a while, but never get sticky or gummy while the dogs chew on them. I will continue to purchase these Chewz as long as I can!

These chews have helped keep three dogs of mine from having to have teeth cleaning. Yeah, they're pricey, but I don't want my guys to have to go through the stress of anesthesia and then cleaning. They also love them. OK, it took a couple of days for my new dog, Derby, to love them, but then he jumped right in. They are firm and chewy. The dogs tend to hold them between their front paws and then chew. If there are any little bits left, they lick them up.

I found our about these from a veterinarian dermatologist. I had a sweet Boston terrier (Bowser, no longer with us due to old age). I had been giving the dogs Dentastix but he could no longer have them because he was on a restricted ingredient diet. She sold the Sam's Yams as an alternative treat. He took to them instantly. I will say that, with the Dentastix, he made it to 12 years old with no teeth cleanings. However, if you have a dog with allergies, check this out.

Also, I've kept my current two dogs on them because I think they are more digestible and healthy. So. Pay for it and get your guys the best!

I just received it, and only tried to attach it to a generic brand water bottle, but it doesn't fit. My dog (who is medium in size) is quite used to drinking out of a small cup and honestly, what we used previously wasn't much bigger and we never filled it all the way.

I would have preferred the screw cap to be on the bottom so that the cup stays upright, but the screw cap is in the cup so that the cup would be upside down on the bottle. Sharing water with my slobbering pup is not an option, so I'll be attaching this by way of belt since I can't fit it on my water bottle anyway.

I don't have one; I'll be upfront about that. But I saw these at a local pet store, and thought they were a really cool idea. You can't tell from this photo (look at Hagen's website for a better photo), but these are a small cup, not much wider than a standard buy-at-the-gas-station water bottle. You take the cap off the water bottle, and screw on this cap, instead. It then has a belt clip so you can carry it and the water hands-free. When the dog is thirsty, you unscrew the dogit, pour water in it, and put it on the ground for the dog to drink. When they're done, screw it back on the bottle as the cap, and carry on.

My parents just rescued a dog, and I'm going to recommend this to them. We have a soft-sided travel "bowl", and it is so hard to keep clean, because debris and slobber get caught in the wrinkles of the bowl. Next time, I'm going with this.

I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 only because I don't have one, so don't have actual use experience with it.

Sam's Yams Veggie Rawhide Sweet Potato Dog Treats

I was purchasing Canyon Creek (and Waggin' Train) yams for my dogs from the pet store. They loved the taste but I couldn't stand the smell. The preservative used is a bisulfite (I incorrectly state bisulfate in my review) and it breaks down to sulfur dioxide (one of the smells of burning matches) on standing. I don't know if they use too much preservative but either way I never liked the thought of so much of it being there. Although the Canyon Creek came from China I figured how could they screw up yams? Anyway, I saw these in the store and saw the Made in the USA label and decided to give them a try. For me they are better in every way, cheaper, no smell, last longer on chewing, better texture, bigger sizes.

Some other notes that I forgot to include in the video, they are labeled as vegetable rawhides, they don't last anywhere near as long as a real rawhide. Maybe a minute for my big dog. Also some reviewers noted that their dogs either didn't like them or got sick after eating them. My dogs experience no loose stools or vomiting and they will beg for these treats readily when I go for the bag (obvious in the video when I pull the treat from the bag and he immediately comes up to grab it), but again this depends on the dog. These treats fit very well with my wish to feed my dogs a quality product whenever price will allow.

Edit: The price on these seems to fluctuate heavily. When I bought these and wrote the review they were $9.99, that was a good deal for what they are and comparable with the other brands, but at $18.99 a bag I wouldn't really consider them worth it any more and I would buy other treats instead.

My dog is allergic to beef, so I needed an alternative to rawhide and tendon chews. I tried these, and he loves them. I have not found them to be messy or gummy. I also love that they are made of real food (sweet potatoes), with no additives or fillers, and that they are made in the U.S. rather than China. They are not as long-lasting a chew as rawhide or tendons, however. If you are looking for a longer-term doggie pacifier, my recommendation would be a Zuke's Z-Ridge Edible Dental Chew Bone.

I have a three year old lasspoo I have given him sweet potato treats before and he loved them. I have heard and read so many great things about sams yams that when I saw them on amazon I got 4 bags super excited. When I got them I opened them up and gave one to my very excited dog he loved it. But as my doggie is small only 18 lbs I decided to cut them in half so I emptied the treats on my kitchen table to find TWO LIVE MAGGOTS! I was so grossed out I quickly took the treat away from my doggie and opened another bag and the same thing MORE MAGGOTS! I'm so disappointed please do not buy this product! I have pictures !

I called the company and left a message since it was after hours I never heard back. Needless to say I returned them to amazon. I wish I could leave a picture on this review to show u all!

We've been looking for a vegetarian rawhide for our dogs and this is the best yet. Sure it doesn't last hours, but it gives them a good 10-15 minutes of hardcore chewing. My dogs love them and get excited at just the site of the bag. I just wish some local stores carried these so I didn't have to order them all the time.

My 2 Morkies fell down the stairs and each broke a front leg. The dogs are 6 lbs each. I was having to go to the vet and pay $30 each per visit, per dog....every 2 weeks for bandage changes, before I found these. So this really helped me eliminate those costs. We decided to get this product only because of the size and the fact is was chicken flavorsomething our dog loves. The product description states "orginal or natural +" and we ended up being shipped the natural +. I have purchased the original numerous times, and am impressed with how it quickly removed the tear stains and around-the-mouth stains from my Maltese mix. The Natural blend doesn't work, we might as well give him nothing at all. I think it is a bit shady that Amazon would label the product with a description of "original or natural" and then ship whichever product they choose. DON"T BUY THIS PRODUCT.

I showed this to our vet and he was very doubtful it would work. We have used it only 2 days so far but we're already seeing a result. We have a Shihtzu Poodle mix dog and her eyes are constantly teary and full of slime. I can never clean it no matter how hard I try. Using Angel Eyes for only two days I see a decrease in tears, her eyes are much brighter, and she seems more comfortable. I tried many other natural dog foods, freeze dried, dehydrated, raw. This is the only one she will eat consistently when mixed with meat usually canned chicken. The veggies need to be soaked in hot water for a good while before they are soft enough for her. Then I mix just 2-3 heaping fork fulls in with her chicken. She's a happy camper. She's a very finicky dog with stomach issues that now seem to be completely. gone thanks to the veg-to-bowl grain-free pre-Mix. I buy the large size which lasts over 3 months for this tiny dog. Buy the small size first to make sure your dog will eat it. Make sure it's soft enough before offering not just ten minutes. I mix up 3 heaping scoops with hot water to last for several meals. Thanks for a healthy solution. The only con is the price. Many times she turned away from other foods, but not this one.

I breed Dobermans and Mini Schnauzers and have used these biscuits for the puppies chewing needs when they're cutting their baby teeth since my first litters were born. It's a positive chewing item for them and nutritious as well. When my puppies go to their new lives with their new families I always include a dozen or so of these biscuits along with other things to make their transition as easy as possible. I like the fact that these puppy biscuits have no dyes or other flavors added and recommend that the new owners avoid the other flavored biscuits(even prior to the peanutbutter scare a year ago!). I personally don't like the idea of dyes in food and treats because some of then can bring about allergic reactions and judging from the reaction of all the dogs and puppiesthese taste so great they don't need the other flavors to enjoy their nutritious treats!

Update: After my original purchase of one filter I purchased 6 more (in case I couldn't find them again when I needed them.) The service was great. They came in the mail within 1 or 2 days and as an added bonus, we received 6 Greenies cat treat sample bags. The sample bags have quite a few treats in them. After thinkin this was a steep price to pay, I was definitely happy to get the treats!

Original Review: We have a Petmate litter box and originally purchased the "universal" filter replacements at the pet store. These did not work. The filter that came with our litter box has one rounded edge and a pocket on the top side with clear/white pebbles in it. I returned the universal replacements and tried to find the type that came with the litter box (because it works really well!) but couldn't find it anywhere. After reading some reviews on Amazon (even though the picture of the product isn't much help) I decided to try this one out. The filter arrived at my house the next day and it was exactly like the one that came in the litter box originally.

The only reason I didn't give this product 5 starts is the price. Since I couldn't find it elsewhere, I don't know exactly what to compare the price to but I did see another seller on Amazon has the same product (or so I think, again the single picture shown is no help) for quite a bit less. I'm just not sure I'm willing to try it out when I know this is the type filter I need.

After searching through five local pet stores I could not find these Petmate Filters. I went to Amazon, which I should have done to start with and found the filters immediately. The filters really cut down on dust and I can attest to this because during the time period when I could not find the filters, the dust was a mess. So glad to find this item. I change this filter every 3 months for my cat's litter box (1 cat); easy to slip into the lid. I use a permanent marker to write the date on the filter so I don't have to guess how long it's been. The filters are cheap at 1.49 each, but the 4.59 shipping is three times the item cost, so I usually order 4 filters at a time to justify the shipping cost.
