Merrick Grain Free Duck and Sweet Potato is a winner in our home. We have two big dogs one is an allergy dog and the other a senior, and Merrick GF has exceeded our expectations for both. This food is grain free, by-product free for the allergy kid and has good amounts of a glucosamine & chondroitin (supplements for joint health) for my senior. (Plus and this might be TMI, our seniors stool is much improved on Merrick.) Our "kids" coats are soft and shiny and the vet says their diet is everything he could hope for for any of his clients.

I checked out several different dog foods before choosing Merrick. It's high quality and excellent standards make this dog food one of the best on the market. My dog had terrible allergies (to grains) and scratched himself all the time until he had terrible scabs on him. I was taking him to the vet every few weeks for a shot of prednisone to stop the itching because it was SO bad! After switching to Grain Free Merrick and switching his shampoo his itching stopped, the scabs have healed and I no longer take him to the vet for anything other than his yearly checkup and shots. This dog food made a huge difference in my dog's life.

My dog had some areas that would dry out causing loss of hair. And she was always itchy. We had her on the Merrick Classic (my dogs love it) with our other two dogs (which had no issues) and never thought to think that she was allergic to grain based foods. We changed her to this and saw a drastic change in her coat within 3 weeks. My dog has been on this food for about 3 months now and we love it... she definitely loves it, too. She eats less (gets full faster) and her poops are smaller. We really like this food and recommend to anyone looking for a high quality grain-free food for your pup. We love our dogs and only feed the best. Merrick rocks!

I really wanted to like this product, because we only feed our dogs food that has meat listed as the main ingredient. We normally use Taste of the Wild and wanted to try something new. Unfortunately, within an hour of putting this in our mastiffs' food bowl, they started passing gas almost non-stop. It seemed like every time they moved a cloud of doggy gas would move through the room and we'd have to leave until it cleared out. Buy a small bag of this food and try it out on your dog before spending a lot of money and buying a few bags at once like we did. If we were so uncomfortable smelling it, I can only imagine what their poor bellies felt like the whole time trying to get rid of it. :(
