This is a relatively inexpensive product that is extremely good for young and old dogs hips and joints. I know of a rather famous wildlife manager that special ordered a similar product for his dog. This version is as good, but considerably less expensive. The product is liver flavored, so I say the all important word to our eleven month old pup in the morning, "snack" the tail wag increases rapidly and he goes to his bowl and gets the snack and his firest feeding. My Chihuahua has bad knees and had a hard time getting around. I started giving her these pills about three years ago and what a difference! She still limps a little but can now run around when we take our other dog to an open field to run. With all of the petfood related recalls these days, I've become quite paranoid about buying new products. These are the perfect size for my 12lb toy poodle and it takes him about 4 days to completely chew one up (he only spends about 30min to an hour a day chewing it). He gets SO excited when I get a new one out of the bag! I love that it is free-range, grass fed buffalo. These have a slight odor to them, but not NEAR as bad as a typical bully stick/bone (the white ones with the red gummy stuff inside those stink so bad and I refuse to have them in my house). My dog had some areas that would dry out causing loss of hair. And she was always itchy. We had her on the Merrick Classic (my dogs love it) with our other two dogs (which had no issues) and never thought to think that she was allergic to grain based foods. I really wanted to like this product, because we only feed our dogs food that has meat listed as the main ingredient. We normally use Taste of the Wild and wanted to try something new. Unfortunately, within an hour of putting this in our mastiffs' food bowl, they started passing gas almost non-stop. It seemed like every time they moved a cloud of doggy gas would move through the room and we'd have to leave until it cleared out. Buy a small bag of this food and try it out on your dog before spending a lot of money and buying a few bags at once like we did. If we were so uncomfortable smelling it, I can only imagine what their poor bellies felt like the whole time trying to get rid of it. :(

I love all Kong products! Along with this teething stick, I also purchased the Puppy treat mix that comes in the tube, and the treats you can stick in the ridges of the toy. In the mornings when I'm getting ready for work, I get the Teething Stick out and my puppy instantly knows he's about to get a treat! I have tried Kongs of every shape and size, with every kind of goop on them. My standard poodles just dont like rubber to chew. Maybe not the fault of the toy, but Kongs get so much hype it kind of bugs me. They are NOT the "go to" toy that all dogs love. They are rubber. I've been using these treats for a few years now. They are a little bit of a splurge to what else you can get out there, but you can feel good about feeding them. My fur kids love them! They hear the canister open and come runnin'! I love that they are chewy and moist less mess and easier for the little kids to eat. I have three dogs and they all like different flavors. One of them has to be on allergy free diet and I tried different brands. They would eat it, but then it was so plain flavor wise, so I had to add wet food as well, so they would eat it. My dog has had some skin issues (about a month after we adopted him we found out that he has mange), and his coat wasn't looking very nice. After getting him some medicine and switching his food to Natural Choice he looks like a new dog. His fur is soft, smooth and shiny now as opposed to how coarse and dull it used to be. I have bought cow knuckle bones before for my Great Dane and they have been great! They lasted for a long time and held up well to my Dane's constant chewing. When I read about these bison bones I was really excited since they weren't smoked and came from free range Bison. My dog loved it right away, but I noticed he was able to break off little fragments of the bone. Within a few hours he had gnawed away 2/3rds of the knuckle and left little bone fragments all over my floor and couch. It was crumbling away and made me a little nervous.
