My Rottweiler LOVES this bone. We adopted him in August of 2011 it took us 1 month of trying desperately to find a chew bone he didn't destroy completely in just a day this fit the bill. He got one in september 2011 kept it till we had to throw it away there was about 1/4 of it left, it took till November to chew it down that far; got another one lasted till just this past weekend (feb 19, 2012). He loves this so much that when we go to the petstore he sniffs and hunts the isles till he finds it. It is extremely hard but like another reviewer said the tiny pieces that flake off are so tiny that they are of NO concern and when he does get it gnawed down to a sharp pointed end that he could snap off and swallow my husband just takes it out to the garage and saws off the sharp part so it's a blunt end and gives it back. Anything that will survive Rottweiler jaws for 3 months at a time is worth every penny. Highly recommended.

With the majority of them resembling road kill in a very short time.That said, we just knew this particular toy being made of the so rock solid Dura Chew material and scented like Bacon they would be a huge hit.And boy, were they ever. Our Bulldogs simply LOVE this toy!

Our oldest Bulldog "Harley" is finicky about toys and loses interest after a hours, but kept this chew bone in his mouth for hours even walking around the house with it looking like he was puffing on a big fat ole' stogie

Elvis our 6 month old Godzilla chewer couldn't leave his alone alone for one second and was unable to inflict a single bit of damage. This is one of the thickest, heaviest Nylabone toy I've seen and it's great fun watching our dogs dragging this monster from room to room looking for perfect place to settle down into a chomping no holes barred chewing frenzy.

The bone is HUGE! Dinosaur HUGE!! We can't give it to our GSD, it's too big for her. Definitely for an x-large dog. And I would give to an outside dog...that way if it's dropped, it won't dent the floor!

Our lab mix is a very ambitious chewer forget retrieving... he seems to think his "job" in life is to destroy things with his teeth. He's very methodical about it; he'll chew and chew and chew, targeting the object's weakest points, until all that remains is a littering of coin-sized remnants. He even started to make progress on his heavy duty black Kong within about a week.

By the time he was about 8 months old, we figured out that the only toys he can be left alone with are the ones made by Nylabone. He has all their models: dinosaurs, rings, small bones, and branches. These Nylabone toys are a hard plastic that chips off in tiny little shards. He's happy because he feels like he's making progress (even though it takes him a long time to do so) and we're happy because the toys last a relatively long time and he can't swallow anything that might hurt him. He does leave tiny plastic shavings on the carpet, but we have to vacuum a lot anyways because of his fur, so it's not a big deal.

Of all his Nylabone toys, this is the best (and probably his favorite of the bunch). He really likes the size just right for him to prance around with and show off. Although he's had it for four months, it's still smooth enough in the middle that we can hold it for him comfortably, and it's retained its original shape (unlike dinosaur and branch). If we could just train him not to drop this on our feet when he wants attention(it weighs a few pounds and has gotten a bit pokey on the ends)this would be the perfect toy.
