I originally bought this for one of our cats as a special treat for an after-bath time bribe (he's a sphynx and so needs a bath about once a week, but is none too thrilled about it!). He loves all of the Whole Life treats, but the venison seems to be his hands-down favorite. In fact, he loves this particular kind so much that he'll try to sneak into the pantry to get after the bag!

Turns out, though, that the venison is a "family" favorite...now every time I give him a post-bath treat I have to be sure to give some to our other cat AND the dog! It is expensive but it's worth every penny to me (see below) and a bag really does go a long way (I break the chunks of freeze-dried meat into much smaller pieces).

I love that it's high quality (human-grade meat) and doesn't have any additives, etc. Also, it's high protein, low carb and low fat, so I don't feel guilty at all for giving it to our pets. I now keep a bag or two in the pantry all the time!

my weimeraner loves these treats. I like to give him the healthier dog treats and food with little addetives and or all natural and this meets that criteria. It is a little expensive for what you get but i put the bigger pieces inside his KONG and let him fight to get it out to keep him busy for a little while.

My cat Max would eat the entire package if I let him. The cat and dog treats are made up of the same ingredients so I get the dog treats because they are 2 oz. The cat treats are only 1 oz. Max loves the Venison! I'm not sure all cats would. Bengals are a little different. I'm sure all cats would love the Salmon & also the Chicken.

Here's the deal I have 2 mutts, they are both happy chewers; one however is a destructive chewer. My challenge is to find toys that they both can enjoy, yet will last, so as to protect my pocketbook. My power chewer chews right through Kong toys.

I've had this toy for over a month and they still enjoy it and it shows no signs of damage! The cool thing is you can put a large food items in the pocket and if they're big enough, it won't fall out till the pups have licked it to a nub. I like to use Pedigree Jumbones cut into thirds.

I have a 65 pound American Bulldog & Lab mix who can tear apart the black Kong toys in under 15 minutes. I tried many other toys that were labeled "indestructible, super tough, or for aggressive chewers" with the same result little piles of rubber shreds on either side of my dog as he sinks his teeth in and pulls the toys apart. Ordered one of these Zogoflex Tux toys after reading the reviews hoping to finally find something that would stand up to his choppers. Received an orange one a few days later and showed it to my dog. He was on it immediately. It quickly became his favorite toy. So how did it stand up to his chewing?

Well, he's been chewing on it for over a week now and the thing still looks brand new. I've even tucked treats in the underside which really makes him go at the thing and he still hasn't gotten any pieces off of it! He also likes to play fetch with the Tux. In fact, it is the only toy we have that he will bring to me and drop in my lap, asking me to toss it.

It's a chew toy, a treat holder, and a fetch toy and it has stood up to the hardest chewing dog I've ever known. Well worth the money, in my opinion!

My dog tears up pretty much everything, he loves this toy and hasn't made a dent in it at all. He uses it as a chew toy but its great to throw and watch him try to get it as it bounces all around too! As a bonus you can also hide treats in there.

I purchased this toy because so many of the reviews stated that it could withstand aggressive chewers. Well my dog must be the king of all "Aggressive Chewers". I gave it 3 stars because it lasted for 3 days in my house. Which is quite impressive considering my dogs' toys normally last about 30 minutes tops. Like all the other toys out there, this toy too can be destroyed, but perhaps for small dogs, it would work perfectly. However, pits and larger breeds may find it a neat little challenge for a day or two. But that about it.

Indestructible no, but they do last longer then any other toys we have gotten. We bought all three, the Huck, Hurley and the Tux. The Tux is the only one that is left.

The Hurley (stick) lasted a few days as he was chewing on it for hours and hours and he simply LOVED IT. That was his favorite. He split it in the middle and we had to take it away only after a few days.

After splitting the Hurley, it didn't take him long to move onto the Huck. The Huck lasted a few WEEKS but then once he started getting into it, we had to take it away. Milo (1 year yellow lab) started getting it apart and then the rest came apart in chunks kinda fast. This did last WEEKS tho. Unfortunately it's just a little to heavy to toss in the house. It's more a chew toy then a throwing ball.

The tux, somehow someway is still going strong and it seems that because we fill it with peanut butter, he does not want to destroy it so we dont take it away :) He chews it all the time but not with the same ferociousness that he does the others.

I called the company 3 separate times to check on this "no questions asked replacement warranty" Holy crap they aren't kidding. The customer service people pick up so fast and they are INCREDIBLY pleasant. You get a one time replacement of any/each toy. So I bought all three and they will replace all three one time. They also assured me that the toys are non toxic and it's ok if they do ingest a little bit of the "special composition material".

For the money these are the best toys we have ever bought. I will buy another set this Christmas to keep the Milo man busy :)

I have a 13 year old German Shepherd mix with severe arthritis. A few months ago, I thought it was the end when he slipped and looked like his hip was displaced. I started back on this product and haven't stopped and this old guy acts like he's a puppy, playing with other dogs in the back, trotting up the steps. He even went back to jumping on the couch when I have it covered and lounging about. I know for sure I'm gonna look for something like this for my aching joints if it works this well for my old guy.

We recently moved from a single level home to a townhouse. My 10 year old corgi with a plate in a rear leg (TPLO) hadn't done stairs regularly in years, and wasn't able to make it up the stairs in the townhouse. My 10 yr old + dog is in visible pain from arthiritis in her knee. Rocky our parakeet, was rescued by us from neighbors that did not take good care of him. Rarely changing his water and giving him plain cheap seed. It was so sad. We used to buy parakeet feed in bulk at a local pet store but we had ongoing problems with moths hatching from the seed and flying around the house. When we brought it to their attention they just shrugged their shoulders. I started buying Kaytee Forti Diet Pro Health Food for Parakeet over a year ago and Tweety seems quite content. Well, you see, my bestest pet(read human) likes to give me treats when I get her to come inside after taking a walk, or playing outside. 50 lbs. for $22.00 + free shipping is a pretty good deal these days. The nuggets are smaller & have different shapes which is good for my 3 small dogs. It smells beefy. I mix Moist & Meaty with it & they seem to like it so far. My 2 larger dogs like to take a mouthful from the bowl & bring it in the TV room & pick on it. That's a good sign they won't be turning up their noses. I like the High Protein factor too. Even a couple of my cats have nibbled on it a bit because of the smaller mixed pieces.

I bought this for someone else's dog so I do not know how it stands up to a dogs standard, but I was told the kibbles were very small and I bought it for a large breed dog. It arrived as you see it in the picture with a packing sticker on the bag itself, but it held up just fine. You get what you pay for. It arrived quickly.

Update. I just realized I paid $27 for this dog food. What a ripoff. Do not buy. You can buy cheaper and better quality at Costco.

This toy is hollow and constructed from approximately 3/8" rubber. When it arrived, it was a bit dirty and had some black markings on it (think like sole marks from sneakers on a gym floor. I thought this was just from shipping, so I washed it off and gave it to our 30 pound dog.

There is a cross shaped cutout on both ends that is designed to enable treats to be incorporated, but its serve as a weak point. Our dog quickly tore off all of the tabs in the area. After I took it away from him, I saw MORE dark streaks inside.

INTRO

I am always on the search for new and reliable dog toys our 25lb whippet-shepherd mix has plenty of energy and does not like to be ignored for too long! On a search for new toys, I came across petprojekt's website and was intrigued! I was sent a sample of this product to evaluate in exchange for an honest review.

Our first introduction to treat-based toys was when picking up the funny looking Kong Classic toy and wondering what the heck it was. Since that time, we have found that our dog responds very well to toys that (a) contained treats no shock there, and (b) took some work. Despite being only 25lbs she has remarkably strong jaws (shepherd) combine that with her little pointy teeth and you have a toy-destructor of epic proportions. Many tattered "indestructible" toys later, and we decided that these treat-based toys were the way to go.

DESIGN

I'm all about natural rubber toys for the most part any small pieces that break off will pass through the dog's system without any complications or worries from potential toxins. This is definitely one of the first things I look for when choosing a dog toy. What I like about the trētbōn is the fact that despite being small, you can really pack a lot in! Each end has a cross-style opening in which to place treats, peanut butter, and whatever other things make your pup go crazy! Because the opening is narrow, your dog will have to come up with some creative ways to get at their favorite things our dog has found her process: stepping on the ends and then flinging the bone at the wall. It's rather hilarious to watch to be honest! Because the opening is also made of rubber, it's easy to get a finger in there when cleaning. Very hot water should do the trick I recommend not using soap simply because some dogs won't touch it after.

DURABILITY

As stated on the packaging, this toy is not indestructible and doesn't claim to be. That said, due to the nature of this toy being puzzle-based you will find that it doesn't take much wear and tear (depending on your dog). As I already mentioned, our dog's preferred way of reaching the treats is squashing and flinging, but I would try this out with yours to see if tearing is more their style. For less than five dollars, it's a cheap experiment, and one that may pay off! So far we have stuffed the trētbōn several times, and the only damage is a few *shallow* puncture marks on the ends. Much like the Kong linked above, I am very pleased with how well it has lasted.

TIP:

Natural rubber does just fine when frozen, so if you want to provide your dog with a summer treat, I suggest packing the trētbōn full with peanut butter, all-natural liver treats (small) and some blueberries (very good for dogs). Let it freeze overnight and both of you will enjoy the extra time it takes for your dog to enjoy their treat!

OVERALL

This toy has proven to be durable, is easily cleaned and has provided a lot of fun for our dog. The price is very attractive and it has already outlasted toys that cost us twice as much. I can very happily recommend this to owners of small to medium-sized dogs. Even if your dog is a destructive chewer you may find that this is exactly what they need to keep busy! Highly recommended!

Made in China. They're awfully small for cow ears, about the size of pig ears (I thought they were pig ears at first but the box they came in say cow). These cow ears are a gnarly in their shape...but a lot less expensive than the individually-packed ones I get at the doggy day care. My dog doesn't seem to like them as much as the doggy-day care ones either. Luckily, my dog's saliva doesn't smear the BBQ-like coating onto the carpet I was worried about that. I don't believe I will get them again simply because he doesn't like them as much as the more expensive ones.

These are the best treats for dogs on the market! My dog loves them long after the marrow is gone. These do not splinter or break off, with a medium size dog anyway, not sure about a large dog. There are whole antlers, but the bone is so tough that I don't think that my dog would be able to get to the marrow. Also great gift for any dog owner! You can tell them the story about how good they are for the dog, hypoallergenic, that these are what falls off of the deer and elk every year, so that they may grow new ones. Better than anything else on the market!

I was going to give 3 stars because what I received were very different antlers one was emptied of the inside 'marrow' in 10 minutes while the other is holding it's own. I have two very aggressive chewers so I was somewhat disappointed in the one that 'disappeared' fast.

I ended up giving 4 stars because the size was as expected alot of large or jumbo antlers just end up being too small or short. These were a really good price and as described.

I have a little miniature schnauzer puppy, he chewed on a bone for a couple hours and there was nothing left for him to chew on anymore. Too costly to purchase again. I bought the first bones, and they were defiantly worth the money, but not the second 2 bones, which were long but I doubt if they were 1" thick.

I was pretty surprised when I received this item; since, it looks nothing like the item pictured on Amazon. The cheese is White, not yellow/orange. I'm actually happy about this difference, since the company clearly does not add colorant to dye their cheese orange like many cheese companies.

The product also, is not cut into cubes as pictured. This difference IS a problem for me, since I planned to carry a couple of them in my pocket to use as dog treats for going potty outside. The actual product is in very large chunks that are difficult to break apart; thus, I cannot use them for what I had intended. There was also a black spot on one of the pieces that I thought could be mold (I threw that piece away, as the rest were spot free,so unlikely mold).

Apart from the sizing inconvenience, I must say that my dog LOVED the taste of these even more than the Pure Bites brand. So I would definitely purchase them again as a special treat for my sweet girl.

The Good: Convenience. Normally I take cheese along in the cooler for the dogs on outings and while taking them camping this was a great alternative. The price is very competitive and in line with similar products. The dogs loved it!

The Not so good: Very large chunks that for small dogs would be too large. I had to use a VERY SHARP knife to get through these to cut into smaller pieces. Very hard as in break your small dog teeth hard.

Would recommend for medium to larger dogs.
