I have an adult male cat that can end (or start!) wars with what he leaves in his litter box. I found this Pet Naturals Smelly Cat via a pet supply company, and have been using it for at least 8 months. To the relief of all, within just a few days it was clear that it was working! You can breathe again in the house after the cat visits his litter box (whew!). And he loves the taste, begging for a "treat" as soon as I pick up the bag. I follow the directions on the package, feeding one in the morning and one in the evening at a time when he hasn't been fed a meal. So I'm only giving him 2 per day, which makes the cost very reasonable for me. And it works (Did I say that before? I'll probably say it again!).

But horrors! I didn't pay attention, and ran out of Smelly Cat! I couldn't find it locally, and had one of those weeks where a shopping trip to a distant store wasn't going to happen. By the end of that week, the deadly aroma of the litter box WMD began to reappear. While checking on Amazon for gas masks and haz-mat suits, I discovered they carried Smelly Cat. Thank goodness for Prime! Sure enough, within a week of feeding Smelly Cat, my house is again safely habitable by air-breathing species. We have a big 18 pound male cat and the whole household knows when he uses the litter box. After researching online for something to help with the odor I found this product and decided to give it a try. He loves the taste and just two treats a day is all he needs. (If you have a small to medium sized cat, you might be able to just give it one treat per day.) The litter box odor is significantly reduced. I would have never believed it but these things actually work. Our cat could clear out the house when he used the box but after two days of eating 2 of these a day, the smell is all but gone (it still smells, but the smell is not unplesent). In addition, it actually makes his breath better. We will be buying these as long as he is alive!

I adopted a cat from a shelter and he was a pretty farty cat who left the litter box smelling HORRIBLE.

I was pretty skeptical about how well they would work, but I've been giving them to him for about two weeks now I think they might actually be working. The room the litter box is in no longer smells like the cat is trying to gas us to death. (Here's hoping I haven't just jinxed myself!)
