I just got a new puppy (chihuahua) and at 7 1/2 weeks, I gave him one. After that one, he wanted more. Although he is really tiny at just over 2.1 lbs, he had no problems eating a whole one, although I usually break it in 1/2. They are ideal for small dogs and puppies.
