My dog and I have been fighting ear infections for years. We go to the vet, treat it, it goes away and it's back in anywhere from 5-10 months. I can't say whether this will work for a year, but it zapped the current infection in 5 days, and it was pretty bad. I would just suggest you put newspaper down if on carpet or treat your pet on flooring because you may not be able to get it all out with paper towels and the dog will shake to get the leftover out. It smells good (to me) and I would definitely use it again, but I'll update this review next year with the long term results.

I was skeptical because there were only a handful of reviews when I bought this product. We had already tried Zymox to heal our adopted Airedale and while it seemed to work at first, as soon as we were done with treatment it came right back. Also, with Zymox you have to purchase (separately) a Zymox ear cleaner to "prep" the ears for a few days before. So we tried this product as a last chance effort before going back to the vet. (We have spent close to $1000 treating ear infections at the vet who then suggested surgery---give me a break!) Well, let me tell you that we could see the difference after just one day. We finished the treatment and for the first time ever there is no trace of an ear infection!!!

My only suggestion…as another reviewer said, if you have a ‘regular' dog, the 4 oz size should be fine, but ours is on the large size so we opted for the 8 oz. If your dog has a large ear canal as larger dogs do, you may will probably want the 8 oz just to be safe. We used a tiny bit more than half of an 8 oz. bottle on our Airedale, but we wasted some the first day treating both ears when we only needed to treat one.

Our yellow labrador had a nagging ear infection for several months. We figured we would try and treat it the "right way" and take him to the vet. A few hundred dollars later, we walked out with some oral and topical medication. Although symptoms improved a little, the infection never went away. We finished the medication and rather than spend several hundred dollars more at the vet, we wanted to see what other dog owners were doing.

We did some research and came across the Zymox Otic Enzymatic Solution. We were shocked at the number amount of positive reviews and were very optimistic that it would work. We purchased two 4oz bottles and gave it a try. This product prevented the infection from getting worse, but it did not eliminate the infection whatsoever. We went through both 4oz bottles very quickly.

We then came across EcoEars Dog Infection Formula & Cleaner. What attracted us to this product was the guarantee they offered. If it didn't work, we would be able to get our money back (unlike the other products). We followed the directions and applied the product every day for about a month. Our dog did not like this product at first. He would whine very loudly and would visibly shake while we applied it. We think this was because his ear was so inflamed. This led us to do the treatment only once per day which is why it took a little longer than advertised. His ear produced less and less discharge week after week. His ear also started turning a healthier pink color. We kept treating him until the discharge was pretty much nonexistent. It's been a week now since we stopped treatment and his ear is completely dry, a healthy pink, and clean as a whistle.

Our only criticisms are the product was more harsh than the other medications we tried and the bottle was not filled to the very top as shown in the picture. There is plenty of product though as we still have about a 1/4 left. Overall, we highly recommend this product. We are so happy we found it!

This is the first time I have ever felt compelled to write a review on a product. It is not that I have never been satisfied. It is just that this journey we have been on for an answer for a ceaseless ear infection has finally come to an end. I am ecstatic!

I have spent hundreds of dollars at the vet, pills, switching food, drops etc.... When recently it was pointed out that my dog smelled "rancid" I was motivated to try again for answers on line from others experiencing the same. This led me to EcoEars.

After one application, I saw a difference. The results have continued. I am nearly at the 10 day mark for suggested use to rid the infection! No more rancid dog!!!

I think I will continue a once a week maintenance after the 10 day run. I certainly do not want it to come back!!! If we make it through then I will probably stop applications. If it ever resurfaces, I know where I will return to once again.

I am positively thrilled!!!!

We ordered this product for our pooch who has a yeast infection in his ear. We were very pleased with the results. Within a day or two we noticed a tremendous difference. We will give him one more dose in 10 days as instructed but I highly recommend this product!
