they were not hard enough and did not last long... my dog is 12 lbs

This is a terrific chew for small dogs up to 30 lbs. Our two dogs (27 and 12 lbs) love it, and it keeps them busy quite a while. Because the bully sticks are only about 6" long and fairly thin, they're probably too small for larger dogs

Our dogs seem to love the taste as well. If I give them more than one each week, unfortunately, they get some mild diarrhea and the smaller dog may vomit. Our smaller dog has a fragile digestive system, however, and little tolerance for most snacks of this type. It speaks well of the quality of this product that she can tolerate even one per week. I say that with some reservation because the larger dog can usually eat anything, but even he is bothered somewhat (mild diarrhea) if I exceed the one per week limit with him.

As for the smell, there is a noticeable one. Because of the small size of the chew, it has been tolerable. The dogs don't mind the smell at all. In fact, they roll in it.

The price if you buy in bulk is considerably cheaper overall compared to a pet store product. Bully sticks of this size and quality are usually insanely expensive. Where we live around $10 each.

I'd give it 5 stars for the quality and price if not for the fact that more than one per week gives both of our dogs diarrhea.
