My 2 shelties can not get enough of their everlasting treat balls. For those unfamiliar with it, the product is a basically a virtually indestructible ball shaped holder for the everlasting treatball flavored treats. There is a slot for the treats on either side of the ball, although the first time you buy it, only one side has a treat in it. Each treat lasts my dogs about 2-3 days, and they chew on it all the time! I'm sure the time it takes a dog to go through it certainly varies by the dog. We replace the treats every few days and they are constantly entertained.

We make sure the dogs get plenty of exercise and mental stimulation, but it seems they still have a habit of chewing things. Ever since we got the everlasting treat balls, we've seen a drastic reduction in the amount of other items that get destroyed by their chewing. I can't recommend these enough.... the dogs love them, there are plenty of flavors to choose from when you need to replace the treats, and it gives me a nice break from constantly having to watch over the dogs to make sure they aren't getting into things they shouldn't be.

My only qualm about the treats is the price. At $20-25 for the holder and one treat, and $5-6 for each 2-pack of additional treats, they aren't exactly cheap. For what you get though, I highly recommend them to anyone who has a dog who loves to chew.

The medium size seems to be perfect for my 20lb shelties maybe slightly on the big side.

When I heard "everlasting", I was excited to see if my 75 pound Boxer/Lab mix would finally meet his match. I would estimate to say that my dog had the treat removed from the ball in under 10 minutes of constant chewing/slobbering. About 30 minutes after that, the treat was gone!!

However, I did find a more adquete use for this "everlasting" treat machine. The blue ball that the treat sticks in is just great for my dog to chew on. There are are slots on each side, shaped like an X. I found putting other treats (i.e. piece of a milk bone) into the center of the ball provided much more enjoyment for my dog. He has to roll it around, chew on it, slobber on it and use his paws to get the treat.

Still, it's not everlasting, but I suppose every breed could have a different response to the treats. If not for the extra use of the blue ball, I would have rated 1 star, but I'm still getting some life out of it.

I have a 14 pound Dachshund and I got him the Medium Ball. As soon as I put the treats in, he runs wild with it. He even tries to bring it to bed. This is by far his favorite toy. He has 4 different Kongs and this is the only toy I've found that holds his interest for more than a half hour.

How do I put this delicately...my dog is not the brightest dog in the world. It took my dog two weeks to understand that the treat ball was a treat ball. As I'm writing this, my dog has been chewing on the ball for nearly two hours which is a very long time for my dog to be focused on a single toy. At one point it rolled under a chair and I retrieved the ball after some barks directed at me to get it, and strong nibble on my ankle when I didn't move fast enough to get it.

My dog is a 20 pound Scottie.

I heard this toy was super durable and would be a winner for our 10 month old Portuguese Water Dog. It's true she loved it. But, unfortunately, within less than one day, our dog was actually eating the toy and we had to throw it away when we noticed she had imbibed a fair amount of rubber. We were disappointed!
