This barrier works well to keep my dogs in the backseat. It is a simple square with straps that attach to your car seats and must be adjusted. It isn't the most well-constructed or high-quality product, but it does the trick. However, when my dogs are distressed and very determined, my smaller dog (20 lbs) is able to squeeze under the barrier. My other small-to-medium sized dog (33 lbs) was able to jump OVER the barrier when he was either distressed or very excited (that happened once or twice, only when the car was parked).

Just to add -I've tried several different solutions to try to get my dogs to ride peacefully in the car. My biggest problem is that my smaller dog whines incessantly and tries to come to the front seat. I've used a crate (but too much whining and sliding around inside the crate). I have also tried using dog harnesses specifically designed to attach to seatbelts, but those turned out to be dangerous when my dogs were so determined to wriggle out of them that they became a tangled mess of straps and limbs in the backseat, and I had to pull over to disentangle them.

So, overall, this barrier has been the best solution I've found for taking car rides with my dogs.

I love the Auto Front Barrier Seat.....but needless to say ...my dog does not like it....but it certainly serves the purpose.

It is quality made; my car is compact; but it is adjustable & would fit other vehicles easily.

I've got several smaller dogs and they are always trying to get in the front seat when we go in the car, and this product is so cool, it keeps the dogs in the back with out me having to keep looking back trying to keep them in the back. It's so easy to install i can take it with me in any car.

This is so easy to use. The actual seat is made from great material. i found my puppy like sitting in it more than the window and falling to the front. My puppy LuLu is really enjoying the view. The durability of the straps and the whole seat is amazing!
