These treats are inexpensive, easily eaten, and just as good as the $.25 ea (100 for $25) rawhide sticks that PetSmart sells. My dogs like them quite a bit. They'd probably like them better if there was some kind of flavoring, but hey, these treats still manage to disappear within 10 min. so I'm not concerned.They are rather tightly twisted (a problem I've found in other inexpensive rawhides) & they're rather uniformly sized (again, unlike others, there aren't 30% teeny-tiny sticks) which I really appreciate since I'm generally using these as pacifiers when it's time for my doxies to wind down for the night.
I saw another reviewer was upset that these treats are irradiated. So are a lot of foods. That circle you see in the picture? That's saying it's irradiated. It's not especially a secret (though yes you won't be able to see that on Amazon), they're drawing attention to the fact to show that the sticks aren't going to be harboring growths. Nothing about these suggests it's unhealthy (just do a quick search for "food irradiation" and you'll see how over the top that reviewer's reaction was). That's not to say concerns aren't justified, I'm as anti-import as anybody and buy the most meat-centered, non-grain, non-everything-bad diet I can afford... it's just going to be pretty obvious that this cheap of a product probably isn't going to be up to organic/green standards.
For me and my dogs, that's fine. They only get one every few days anyway. They'll probably get something worse from licking the toxic kraft mac & cheese dye out of the pot first anyway :)

Try as you might you will not be able to deliniate this fact by the label. You can't read it until you receive it. The apparent misrepresentation is not really shocking since, who would buy them if it were made clear that you were buying something that could not only harm your pet, but has a longer shelf life then Mathusela. I returned both bags today (received yesterday). I suppose this is the answer to dog deaths by foreign germs/chemicals, just irriadiate.
