I actually bought this dog food by accident for my bichon frise puppy. But since I bought it, I let my bichon try it out to see if he liked it. He liked it, but the pebbles are much bigger than what he was used to (which was the Science Diet for small breed puppies), so it took him a few seconds longer to chew the pebbles. His poop was normal; it actually did not have a very strong smell like when after my bichon ate Science Diet. So, I would definitley recommend this brand to average sized breed puppies, but not for small breeds like toy poodles, maltese, or bichon frises because the pebbles are too hard for them to chew.Too expensive..you can buy a lot cheaper in bulk n save a lot of money in the long run.....i will not pay ten bucks for 7 lbs ever again.
