I bought this to use for our dog's dry food. In the past 5 years, after the first week or so, the zip lock closure on his dry food usually breaks and I've been using chip clips or office clips to keep it closed/fresh. I was also using a 1/2 cup scooper and leaving it in the bag, so twice a day when I'd go to feed him, I'd have to unclip the bag, dig around inside to find the scooper, and then finally scoop his food out. (Also, not sure if it's worth noting, but I always have to wash my hands afterwards b/c digging around in the dog food leaves my hands smelling like the food, not my favorite thing.) Then I'd have to look around to see where I set the clip down, and somehow it often seems to disappear in just the minute or so it took me to scoop the food!

Anyway, I came across this product on Amazon and COULD NOT BE HAPPIER WITH IT!

The quality of the materials is excellent (no funny smells, no sharp edges, no annoying noises) and I love that I NEVER lose the clip or the scooper anymore! No more digging around in the bag for the scooper, and collapsing the scooper afterwards is effortless, then the whole thing just clips onto the bag and lays flush with it, so it doesn't take up anymore space than a regular chip clip would!

For the price, this is a MUST-HAVE for dog (or cat) owners feeding their pet dry food.

This is a great idea. I got the 1/2 cup size and it is perfect for my little dogs.

The only downside is the clip. It is not strong. It slides around on slippery plastic premium dog food bags. It might work for the cheap grocery store dog food that is packaged in paper bags.

I won't buy another for this reason.
